Finally, it's up and running. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to categorize in order by date for each update. So for those of you who are just getting up to speed about Mom, you'll have to scroll up and down to read the updates in order. If you click on "shawn skeele's articles", this will condense the updates so you can see more of them at one time. Thank you for your patience regarding this website and tell everyone you know about it. Many of you have been a tremendous help in disseminating information about Mom so that more people can being praying for her on a regular basis if led to do so.
I have also started reading to Mom the book she hadn't finished, "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. Right now, it's a one sided conversation with me sharing opinions and thinking out loud about what I just read. For those of you who want to read this together with us and share your opinions for each chapter, the category will be listed as philosophy listing the chapter #. You will be able to type in your thoughts on this website for others to read and think about if they choose to click on the article. For those of you who can not answer the question, " What is my purpose and destiny in life?", the content you read of others who have or are reading the book will be of great interest in helping you answer this question. If you want the book, contact me and I will see to it you get one.

Let's get to it....
Mom had a restful day with the respirator doing most of the work. Her vital signs were strong with the blood pressure a little high that may be indicating discomfort or pain. More morphine was given to her on a needed basis. This makes her less responsive unfortunately. Tomorrow morning, the doctors are going to do the tracheotomy to get the respirator tube out of her mouth. A definitive time was not given. She will also have the feeding tube inserted directly to her stomach instead of her nostril and esophegus. Please pray that these procedures will go smoothly and no complications would hinder them. The game plan is to wean Mom off the respirator over the next week or two unless God wants her off sooner. He has my permission
Her heart rate was stable all day. Medication I can't pronounce let alone spell was given to help insure this.
I can't say this enough. Thank you all who are praying for Mom and family. We are very appreciative and grateful.
