We all know there is no spoon… however, if there was a spoon, what would you do with it?

Let me ask you this question…

If you had one of those Matrix Style data plug thingies in the back of your head, and you had the ability to learn and master one skill instantaneously, what would that skill be?

The answers to this question will tell us a lot about the respondent… what are you going to tell us about you? I guess this is just the nerdy way of asking, what skill do you most desire?

There is a condition – it must be physically possible in our world – not the matrix, but our world could be the matrix?

But it might not be as well!!!

What skill do I most desire? To be a very talented writer, to let my emotions spill onto the page, to transport people to another world with me by just using words. To create images in peoples heads by just using words. To touch the hearts if a few people, and make them think wow. *sigh* If only!

XX - that would be quite a skill to learn indeed... What do you plan on doing with this skill? Do you have any grand schemes?

Personally - I wish I could play football (Soccer) at an elite level... you could take that so far!!! it would be so much fun! I wish I could learn Jedi... but you are either born with the force or you aren't... you cant learn it in a matrix data cartridge

hmmm, I wish I could be an insipirational icon like Oprah Winfrey. I know this sounds kind of LAME, but I don't care. She's so awesome, and everyone loves her, and she has changed the world in so many good ways (her contributions in Africa.) Or someone like Mother Teresa, or someone like Gahndi, someone that really makes a difference in the world. Someone that gives to others that essence and beautiful aroma of life!

Mandy... Thats kind of why I said professional soccer player... I would like to think I would use the status to help people, and I would obviously be making loads of bling, and I would be able to contribute back to society much better than I could now... It would also be a lot of fun!!! hehe...

Jamie... Golf would certianly be another choice, or possibly driving... imagine having the driving skills of Michael Schumacher... hehe... i guess it's all about status huh? it's what you do with that status that counts!

Umm, I'm obsessed with the art of dance. While I'm not particularly blessed in this area, I'm not ashamed to dance in public places. Most of the time, though, I'm entranced by other dancers. Hip hop, flaminco, TAP (I would love to know how to tap), salsa, break dancing, it's all amazing to me. I could watch videos of people just dancing for hours.

So yeah, the skill I would most like to obtain is dance.

I have to reply before I read any other response, so I don't get unduly influenced by others.

It's a hard question, as I think about the skills I have, and appreciate the time that has gone into acquiring them. The time itself has often been the teacher.

I guess I would have to say that if I could acquire one skill instantaneously, it would have to be the skill to speak and understand any language on this earth, as the invaluable nature of this skill would naturally take me to many places where I could work to help those involved with easing the suffering of those people and cultures. It would also give me the ability to gather these individuals' stories, and would enrich me as a writer.
