Please, please help. I can't win or even be competetive...

Well here's my problem. I'm using a character that is custom-made and one has no experience, and one starts with little money. I cnan't win with either candidate vs. the in-game characters. I'm sure the problem is some basic strategy I'm doing wrong, just like in Gal Civ where I didn't know I needed to change initial spending % values.

Could some of you please give me advice? Thanks!

Try boosting experience to max, Charisma to max, money to max, stamina to max and then distributing the points as you see fit. I recommend avoiding interviews completely, and putting Intelligence to 0.

In the current beta there's an easily exploitable bug/feature (noone's got back to me yet). Build enough 3rd-level and first level HQs to earn around 340-500 thousand a week. If you have spare stamina during this phase, build capital and secure endorsements. Two you always want to get are the Environment and the Foreign Policy ones, because they command considerable approval. Civil Rights is also a good one, but probably shouldn't be taken with the christian group.

As soon as your cash reserves hit around 500,000+, move to an important state (ie texas, california - whichever you have the least chance of winning) and then start churning out webmasters. Every week spend as much as you can on TV ad campaigns targeting issues that attract universal approval (capital punishment, deficit reduction etc). Split them evenly between positive for you and negative for the opponent ads. Any excess stamina points should be spent on more webmasters. Eventually you'll be able to buy 5 ads a week and your costs will be negative one and a half million or so.

When this happens, start moving out from the state to other states that appear to be turning to your foe. In these states build negative and positive ads like before, but don't bother with webmasters. It won't take long for them to fall to you. Then just continue to move around the map in this manner until you win.

Is there a way to win with stamina and experience real low?
