Senate Problems

There I was with the Caranoids sitting on my Western border, blocking my Manifest Destiny. So I built up the fleet and went in to show them the error of there ways. And those bleeding heart liberals in the senate refused to declare war! Do I have to wait for the next election and a hopefully larger majority or is there some way to get them on my side earlier? I tried lowering taxes, but it didn't help.
I may just stay Imperial next game and forget democracy.

Hmmm...

You've found one of the reasons that a 51% majority is important for your party. The only way I can think of that might get around this problem, before the next election, is to ally with a major and get that major to declare war on the Caranoids. This should drag you into the war that you want. :notsure:

I got the war declaration at after about 4 turns of 20% taxes. I guess you just need to promise everone that you will build the new factory on THEIR planet and you can get what you want. LOL
