I installed the last upgrade and now the program won't open. Bad timing for me, I was in the middle of a project.

just updated to 1.97.(b).038 last night - just opened now, worked. XP SP2

Mine won't open either. The error says:

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\IconDeveloper\IconDeveloper.exe
A referral was returned from the server.

What ever that means. That's on Vista Ultimate. But it works fine on my XP SP2.

I use Vista Home Premium. It doesn't even give an error. It just won't open.

I tried it on my laptop which is Vista Home Premium and I get the same error as I stated above.

Nother one... I get the same error. Vista Premium 64 bit.

uninstall and re-install didn't help

yea I'll do that... I just typically start here as I hate it when people ask me questions that I've already answered. but it appears theres a legitmate issue and it's not just me being stupid. (which is normally the case)

The problem should be fixed in the next release. In the meantime, the application should run if you turn off UAC in Vista.

New version's up on SDC. Please bear in mind that this is a beta and so there are bound to still be some bugs in it (i.e. not running under UAC, though that one's been fixed).

Thanks, I'll give it a try when I get a moment away from work...

As far as the Beta, I've done beta's before so I totaly get that there are risks with beta software... not a biggie ;p
