Well whilst bored & waiting for 1.03 to come out & fix this for us, I've made a small mod to:
- Increase PJI radius to 50,000 (A standard Gravity Well size)
- Decrease Tactical Slot usage to 1 (To allow easier stacking with other defenses)
Note: Charge time increase has been left to the default 250% (this does not stack).

Installation:
Extract the .rar into your mods folder
For Vista users:
C:\Users\WINDOWS USERNAME HERE\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods
For XP Users:
C:\Documents and Settings\WINDOWS USERNAME HERE\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods
Once you've loaded up the game in the options menu go to mods & enable the "Useful PJI's" mod, and voila.
