no mods folder???

hey ppl my friend bought the game as well but for some reason he has no MODS folder like i do in LOCAL SETTING>> APPDATA ETC' the game seems to be version 1.0
has anyone encounterd this is there another way perhaps to mod the game ??

use the launcher and click update. There you will be able to download patch 1.02.

then the mods folder will be here

Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

Make sure you have show hidden folders on, or you might not be able to find it.

Quick question: I've got show hidden folders on but there still isn't a folder by the name of Iron Clad Games anywhere to be found.

When you do a "show mod path" ingame - Does it tell you it's under that folder? (It should be) - But it won't show you something that doesn't exist, you may be under the wrong folder tree...specifically "AppData", it's easy to go into the first appdata folder, instead of 'local settings\app data'

Yeah just a bit, god forbid you ever have to delete your own local profile - bye bye mods :(

Maybe they'll move the mod location to somewhere more logical and central.
