the mods folder is located here

Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

Went there, there is no mods folder unless I add it. Added it but game does not recognize any mods(shows no mods) even though I put mods there.

you will need to update your game to the latest version, otherwise there will be no 'mods' button in the options menu! :D

once updated, presuming your using XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar and make a new folder there called 'mods'.

inside your mods folder, put another folder, with the title of your mod! within that folder should be the contents of your mod! :)

start the game and activate it from the menu! ;)

I got this mod to work, but I have a bug. The cost of selling any crystal or metals is -214797494832, so any selling of either drops my credits to 1!!!

Just an FYI

Hey,

If you have XP, cause I couldn't find the mod folder as well, till I relized the location it gave was a Hidden Folder directory, at least for me.

So visit this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

Make sure you go to My Conputer, then Tools, Folder Options.. Go to the View Tab, and make that the view hidden files is checked.

Once you've done that, you should be able to see the location dir for Sins. Why they put it there, and not in the simple My Documents folder where most of my games folders are, no idea, lol.

Sounds like you need to contact the mod-maker :D

Raw stupidity on the part of Games For Windows. Thats where they were required to place things to get the games for windows logo and shelf placing.

in some programs, having a REALLY high value will actualy flip the thing around and make it a negative.

if your trying to make the selling cost REALLY high, then it will flip to a negative, and charge you instead.

Any folder window. Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Check Show hidden files and folders, uncheck Hide protected operating system files -> Yes
