I hope the final release doesn't have a huge memory leak like 2.

kona, I hope the same. FF2 enjoyed a very brief stay on my systems and got dumped after a few days of crazy memory spikes and useage. It looks like the developers have put a lot of work into this area so hopefully we'll see some results.

The new interface of FF3 looks an interesting sub-subject and there is a lot of debate elsewhere on the different schemes that are being used. As always......'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.......Personally I cannot see why some of the critics are getting their 'knickers in a twist' for, as there will be loads of different skins made by third parties as soon as the final version is out.

IE8 will be making it's first appearance in early/mid March when one of the main men from MS does a talk somewhere posh and swanky here in the US. Whether we'll actually see it in action or get a glimpse of it is anyones guess. Microsoft are keeping it fairly well under under wraps at the moment..........

We'll see......... ;)

I've got the new beta installed on my Vista laptop, and so far so good...it's seems to be using a lot less memory, is responsive, surfs fast and i have my most essential 16 add-ons working perfectly...i had to look around some of the add-ons home pages to get the latest builds for them, but i'm pleased with it so far.....

I keep switching every few weeks between windowblinds and uxthemes...presently i'm in my uxtheme mood on vista so everything skins correctly..i haven't tried it yet running windowblinds. I think I will use FF Beta 3 as my main browser for a while to see how it goes

SP1 is released (apparently) to volume License customers tomorrow, as well as members of the Microsoft Partners Programs, and anyone can sign up for the MS Partners Program.
