Electronic Arts has been kind enough to finally announce a concrete release date for Will Wright's ambitious title Spore. The team-up of Maxis and EA have finally pegged September 7 as a good release date for DS, Mac and PC editions of the title.
Wright, whom is also responsible for The Sims and Sim City franchises, has been working on the game for some time. In Spore players are tasked with raising a planet from single-cell organisms to intergalactic travelers. The title has also been confirmed to have online elements, allowing one player's unique creatures to enter into another player's simulation.
"The wait is almost over," said Maxis Chief Designer Will Wright. "We’re in our final stages of testing and polish with Spore, and the team at Maxis can’t wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year."
