Here we have a wonderful replay, well at least I think so! Map is Razor's Edge, a map I was not familiar with, but I picked up rather quickly. I went random faction, and got TEC, which was blessing in disguise.

The fact that he's listing 3 players each side suggests multiplayer ;)

cool stuff.

if you get any games astax that go longer ide love to see the way the came progresses when its more evenly matched. or at least evenly fought.

For 3v3 this is pretty average. On a map medium size 2v2 takes 1-2 hours. At that point it becomes decisive :) I really can't drag it out beyond that lol. Maybe if I play 5v5, but with random teams it usually becomes more uneven :) My last game, which I don't think I recorded, my whole team stunk! I nearly killed a guy but by then people came from the other solar system to save him, while all my teammates either died or quit. So it was 1 vs 5 D: Sucks cause the guy had only one asteroid left and I would have killed him :/

i would hope at some point you will get a 3v3 or 2v2 where your first push isnt decisive as it was in this game. but maybe not i dunno. if that happens make sure and post it. some back and forth would be fun to watch

Oh that's just how that map panned out :) It was a nice map cause of all the fighting early. I was able to multi-task a bit better than my first opponent.

i was starting to question if your allies even understood how to build a frigate. it was pretty frustrating to watch, i can only imagine what it was like playing. nice replay though. thanks for sharing it with us. was there more to the replay or did the game end before you could finish them off?

one thing i found interesting: the other team spent well over 15,000 credits to send the pirates at you only for you to pretty much just ignore them. the best part was right before you launched your final assault. the other team was chatting it up about how weak you were; saying "oh the pirates must've weakened him". then you phase in at his planet with your giant fleet of 40 LRM and wipe the floor with them. most impressive.

however, i noticed a problem with such a massive LRM fleet. it seemed like over half your firepower was being wasted by single targeting. the enemy target would be destroyed before a lot of the missiles had even made reached the enemy target. you would see explosion and then 1,000 missiles flying in on the spot where the frigate used to be. i wonder if it would be more efficient to split your LRMs into 2 separate fleets so you're not wasting that damage. i'm sure there's a sweet spot for the number of LRMs you'd need in each group to destroy a certain target in one barrage. seems like then you could kill twice as many targets in the same amount of time, that is of course assuming the "left over" missiles are wasted and don't switch over to the next target. can anyone confirm?

You might be right about that. But I often see missiles flying about, so they may retarget. No idea. Before 1.02 the fleet was very dumb about targeting, so i got used to targeting manually, its slightly better now

Replay finished when the last of them left the game :/

And as far as pirates go, people who spend so much on pirates seldom win. I wait to bounty usually till it is 5th raid, then the pirates can do some serious damage :)
