Daily 5v5 Random Fun :) Scheduling

So I've made it so that I'll be making 5v5 games Daily. I am making them late nights due to work and classes that I have to attend to. Most of my work and classes take place during the night. I arrive home around 8:30 pm - 9:00 pm.

Game Name:
5v5 Random Fun : )
Time:
10:30 PM (EST [GMT -5])
Map:
Huge Random Map (5 Stars - 102 Planets)
Game Settings:
Fast Research
Fast Speed
High Resources
Locked Teams

Requirements:
Well, there no requirements in joining this schedule game. Just wanting to make a large scale game and to have fun. To enjoy the experience of epic battles and further improve your strategies with your respective race. Oh and be ready to play this game for hours. Should only take 3 to 4 hours, unless you want a long drawn out war that can go into wee hours in the morning. :D

Would be nice to join the Sins of a Solar Empire official TS server. Visit:
Sins of a Solar Empire: Teamspeak Server

In the case that my game is not up, I will be posting here to notify updates on the hosting of the game.

Tomorrow's game will be a continuation from Today's/Yesterday's game. After that game, I will try and host another NEW 5v5 Random Fun :). Same format.

It's best to play the game all the way through within one night. But I don't mind doing continuations from day after day, just let us know and we're make a consensus on it.

I am contemplating on making another 5v5 schedule which will take place more or less right after the earlier schedule. I will consider it.

For those that were in the first Schedule game, I will host it tomorrow, same time and same password. :)

Okay, seems like I will be hosting a new one instead of the continuation from last night. I am going to try and host new 5v5 games every night. :) I'll keep you guys updated on this thread on the progress of 5v5 games.

Possibly, post Replays on the games we played. We'll see if we can finish one game for a night. XD

5v5 Huge Unfinished Epic Battle

Game Summary:
Well, your normal random placement of team players; Two star systems occupied, while the other three are vacant, leaving the Players quick to expand their empire and amass huge fleets. Started out quiet, then came in a few disconnects (Xkik and Mjrthreat). Then your usual command and conquer over your enemies to create more confusion and panic. It wasn't long enough for me and dai to have our planets conquered since we were in a system with three enemies. =\ Obviously, we had no choice, but to colonize elsewhere and rebuild our empire. While, they were occupied in destroying our planets, we were gathering as much resources as we can and amass a huge fleet. In the end, it was well worth the fight. Enjoy the replay everyone. If you were wondering how many Capital Ships I destroyed within that game, end-game Statistics showed I destroyed 25 Capital Ships.

Next Game:
Same time and same name. :)

Freelancer was a huge jerk, I counted 150 Illuminators by the end of that. Nothing but bloody Illuminators.

Finished off another scheduled 5v5 Game earlier today. Took 4 hours to finished.

Here's the replay file. The game was okay, the starting positions were a bit off. You'll see what I mean. Also, there were periodic battles here and there. At the two hour and a half mark, it was a 3v1, Evil did fend off us off from the start, until our third teammate can in to reinforce the line. Enjoy!

5v5 Finished usual

Just watched that 5v5 Huge Random Fun Game (2/12/2008) Started 10:50 PM EST. I must say, that last fight was EPIC. I thought for sure that the game was in the bag until I saw how effective those two progenitors were at keeping MrFujiKicker's Kol alive.

I am glad that you enjoy that replay. I couldn't believe myself that my Kol Battleship stayed alive throughout the whole flight. Although, erjee pointed it out correctly, that they didn't send their fleet in cohesion, but by sending them one at a time, allowing me to micro-manage each capital ship.

Unfortunately, my other recent replay doesn't work well

Yet another scheduled 5v5 Random Fun :) game concluded. This time, we actually finished the game itself within a night. Nothing much out of the ordinary. Some instances of early/rush attacks, trying to eliminate the players as soon as possible. Very unfortunate for those that disconnected early on. =\

Date: 2/14/2008
Time Started: 10:50 PM EST
Time Ended: 1:48 AM EST
Game Time: 2 Hours and 58 Minutes

Replay File:
5v5 Huge Finished

Enjoy.

Note: For Friday's scheduled games, I might be scheduling couple of 5v5 Games throughout the day. The earliest time I will start would be 1:00 PM EST (GMT -5). I am not so sure if I can keep this schedule for later today, just be patient and check at the Matchmaking List around then. If it's not hosted, more than likely I will host it afterwards.

Well, I managed to schedule two games today for Friday, 2/15/2008.

The first game, we finally finished, ending with game time of 3 hours and 38 minutes. The second game, well, we experienced our crash and tried to continue from there, but unfortunately, only a few returned and one just wanted to see the end stats. What a douch... Anyways, the games were fun. I was hoping to continue the second game with a bang, since Redemption and I were left to retreat to another system to re-colonize and re-establish our empire. Would have been a great huge come-back. Oh the wonders of this game. XD

I don't have the replay file for the second game since it didn't actually finish recording and making a file for it due to the crash. Sucks, I really wanted to post this replay for all and see how losing your starting planets does not necessarily mean that the game is over for you. Oh wells, enjoy the replay of the first game.

First Game:
Date: 2/15/2008
Game Time: 5:44 PM EST
Game Ended: 9:22 PM EST
Result: Team 1 Wins

Replay File:
5v5 Great Game

Second Game:
Date: 2/15/2008
Game Time: 9:33 PM EST
Game Ended: 12:15 PM EST
Result: Game Crashed

No Replay File

Xkik here. Fuji I think we should try to get people that won't purposefully quit the game because they think it's hopeless to win. Also for those who aren't on Team 1 it's very VERY helpful to get on team speak 2 and coordinate! :)

Yet another 5v5 LATE Scheduled game. Unfortunately, we had players that disconnected early on due to their OS issues. We actually had systems to ourselves after the disconnects. Had several HUGE Battles, but was essentially lop-sided. Enjoy the replay.

Game Date: 2/17/2008
Started: 12:42 AM
Ended: 3:40 AM

Here's the Replay file:
5v5 Long Good Game

Hey Fuji, we really need to start this game much earlier. People are dropping or have to leave early.

Your chum,

I was in one of these games :)
Could you please do like you did on the first replay and post the 10 people that were in the game. As I'd love to watch the replay of the game I was in without having to DL them all :)

Good initiative btw
