An awesome game, but has some flaws when playing big

SOSE is a great game. I loved it from the beginning. It got me hocked up right away.
I can ony agree to the compliments written all over. And therefore i go straight to the flaws i discovered recently.

After i got quite familiar with the game machanics i decided to make my own map and play big. So i made up 6 Star systems. With around 10 planets each. Cuz before i only played single star and was interessted how multiple stars will play. The problems i had with SOSE after conquering three systems had been.

1. Fleet Logistics.
I like the fleet logistics. But when u play that big u often have to let complete systems behind. The result is moving my ships more back and forward between my own planets, than actually going forward. Only defense structures wouldnt keep up, when 2*10 bomber squads are rolling in. I like the Fleet logistic mechanic. But it should be improved. Like in relation to the systems you control or whatsoever. It just doesnt make sense to me that i control 3 systems. The other 3 players share three. And can easily go in and out of my system because i have not enough backup left. And this with tons of Credits/Crystals/Metall

2 Diplomacy
Sucks quite a big. The only thing you can do is react. And are never able to make offers by yourself. e.g Money/Credits/Metal vs Peace/Trade/.... or assisstance vs peace etc
Also you are not able to see who is with who related. I dont know if the computer makes alliances. But if, than i would like to know them. Also just giving them money/metal/crystals without them telling you (mission) doesnt seem to influence their oppinion at all. When by this i could at least buy their opinion than it would be ok. For "reasearch" i just pumped one guy 10.000 crystals 10.000 metal and 20.000 credits. and his mood didnt change a bit. The only thing he told me was "thanks for your support". And I got got some achievments which i wasnt aware of.

This would be the two pinots that really got one my nerve and made my playing experience and bit less enjoyable.

I made a post myself also about the buttons not doing anything (aside from give X resource for 25% allegiance quests).

They should do something for ya too without the quests.
Especially if you pump a freakin 20k into an AI.
Thank you?? Yeah, I bet.....
At least in the beginning you should be able to lower penalty for certain quest by giving resources.

I also agree with the diplomacy. It's a great great aspect of the game, so why not develop it more. i sure hope they will.
I totally agree with being able so see whose with who.

If you're that economic super power, you should be able to do something with it.
If you pump 20k/10k/10k into a AI, it should surely give you 75%-100% allegiance.

After which you spend another 20k on the pirates to stab him in the back, muhahaha :D

I understand about this one in "Big one" but however more fleet for who hold more planet is unfair to who hold smaller number of planet, there has to balance and fun, (after all many time in real history huge empire alwasy go down and never stay power when while little empire who stay power longer then huge empire!" There is should be other solve, that's would bring up diplomacy, could seed pirate or rebel or sub-empire to slow down your foe, but that's bring other problem with diplomacy when dealing normal race, I or some can't do everything they ask everytime when they spend us in deep enemies space, it's costly for time limited unless spend resoure, I have no problem with that, but most they ask me destory far, far awary in enemies even it's next borber, diplomacy is good in this game, but it's no good, when they keep ask you destory this destory that in far, far awary wher I'm not planing to go that rounte when I find better way empire in other way! That's my wish think, but if Ironclad allow huge empire to has a more fleet then smaller, human at very leat will quit game if 4 or 6 planet less than you even he has 14 or 12 planet while your 20 or more planet.

Humility, using paragraphs is a good thing. A soup of words doesn't help reading a bit.

Yes, I agree that there must be some sort of leeway for big empires, especially in large maps.

Yes, diplomacy sucks right now. It only makes sense that they'll improve it in the meantime.

About the fleet logistics

It doesnt even has to be in relation to planets or stars. Just make it unlimited/ but negative rate. Means when you go over your max fleet supply you have overproduction, means neg economy. Means you start to pay for every ship that is over limit. Means you need a good economy to support it. If your economy isnt stable or rich enough than you have to get rid of them again.

And for a big empire ( multiple star systems), i really think its needed. Because when you only have one star with 60 planets, you will always find "strategic places" to defend and hold in order to keep the rest of the empire safe. And with a planet around you have a lot of support. But a sun is bad. Even when you put there a big fleet it is easy to sweep through and go for the next planet. Also your fleet doesnt get any support. And always have to circle around. Sure you can set up fleets in each connecting planet. But in my case the sun had 5 connections. Make five defense zones. So five times more amount. I had the cash and resources but couldnt. My enemy on the other hand only had a sun with two connections. And when you calculate all this up for five stars you have to keep safe, than you you loose a lot of offensive force.

What i did was, putting small fleets in each conquered sun and two big ones in my middle star system for support. The other big ones i used for attack. while attacking i was always zooming in and out of the universe. Watching for some freaking 20* siege frigate starting to go for one of my stars, and than try to send one of my big supporters over. So in the end it was a lot of flying around. Back and forth. Sometimes they get through take one planet out. They leave again. Because my big one arrived and they are not strong enough to go deep in my system.

On the other hand, when i had four sun-systems, and the other four players were divided on two star-systems. It normally should be pretty much done for them. Unless they would make an alliances aklltogether. And if they would and do good smart attacks, I wouldnt be able to keep defending without loosing my attack power. Because i cant support my big empire anymore as i have the same amount of ships as the others, but have to support a much larger area. Means i have to retreat and than we would where we had been. At the beginning of the game.

I was also thinking. Can you actually degrade your Fleet Supply? Because if not and you had a big empire, up to full Fleet Supply, and get crashed, your finance might brake. And not be able to recover at all. Dont know just occured to me right now.

In fact all this doesnt bother me that much. I would appreciate some changes, but when not it is still OK.

But the diplomacy really needs some upgrades.
I mean money rules the world. So why i need missions to persuade someone :) Everyone is happy when getting a transfer.

Actually have your economic might make up for excess fleet points sounds like an interesting idea to me.

In big empires, you usually have lots of cash, but not enough ships. An empire could be allowed to increase the fleet size, but the extra numbers would drain the economy, so that fleet sizes would always be dependent on economic might. If your empire decreases in size, so does your fleet. I see something good in here...
