confused about something

ok, in the state info screen, The War in Iraq is an issue.

What do the numbers & the thumbs up/down under my guys name mean?

I know that I got into this very late....but, hey....didn't know it was out for beta.

Do like it though....

Just some things i am not sure about what it is (like above)
Oh, another thing that i am unsure about....the polls. it says that the War in Iraq....All 3%, my candidate 71%, Jackson 28% Now, what does that mean, and how do i read it to make any sense of it?
Thanks

Chris

The "Top State Issues" section of the "State Details" screen displays feelings towards an issue by Democrats, Independents, and Republicians, as well as the position held by you and your opponent.

2 Thumbs Up - Strongly Support
Thumb Up - Support
Closed Fist - Indifferent
Thumb Down - Oppose
2 Thumbs Down - Strongly Oppose

At the very least, you want to hold a similar position on the issue as voters in your party. Then, if you can pull in voters from the Independent side, thats even better.

As for the polls....
All = % of people voting based on this issue. The higher the number, the more important the issue.
Your Candidate = % of those people that voted for you.
Your Opponent = % of those people that voted for your opponent.
