Buildings

on some planets in singleplayer i am not able to control where i build the buildings. when i click to build a building it automatically gets placed around the planets gravity field. in the beginning of the game i was able to place these buildings myself.how can i place the buildings myself?

To the left of the build menu are two buttons: the top one controls auto building placement :) (the bottom is map pings)

I think the hotkey is 'K' :P
