installation directions

could we get a few steps and documentation for installing cursorfx and the 19.95 you take.

should cursorxp be uninstalled?
there seems to be some conflicts with the two.
file locations maybe, even, possibly.
i have a job, other family, community interests; for STARDOCK to expect me to beta test, read through forums, for the 'community' is in my opinion a bit absurd. $$$19.95.

please excuse all lo0wer case and bluntness, i am a c6 quadriplegic and typing is a bit tough right now; currently stuck in hospital bed for aq few months.

former rapid systyems RDBMS develo0pment project manager. i could never rollout a system even this small (cursorfx) with so many hiccups and lack of Doc...

good luck

Stardock doesn't expect you to use this forum for support it's your option. You can email [email protected] for a stardock employee's assistance. They are excellent. There is also the potential for catching someone in one of the Chat rooms who can answer your questions. I was able to download and install CursorFX without problem on my machine. The download is of an executable CusorFX installer and it worked flawlessly for me. CursorFX Plus is no longer in Beta test. As to your question should CursorXP be uninstalled my answer as an end user is yes. Hopefully, you can contact a Stardock employee for their expert help.

funny your 'enlightening' comment on Stardock doesn't expect me to use this forum for support.

not looking for support... been professionally, and recreationally walking around with my head in a monitor since 1979.

cursorfx is flawed and will cause conflicts with vista.

like it or not, i wouldn't even call it beta.

i didn't ask one question, i mentioned info that should be supplied as a matter of course.

i agree with you most def cursorxp shoould be uninstalled.

good luck

Sorry, but Documentaion for installing? Like what do you need, click on download, click on run, accept default installation settings (filepaths) or change to suit your preferences? What exactly are you looking for with your forum post? CursorFX isn't a "rapid systyems RDBMS develo0pment project", it's more of a hobbyist's software package that many people enjoy and use. I'm using it and it's working just fine on my machine. Are you sure your problems with this software aren't simply that this software just isn't for you?

And, you didn't ask one question you asked two. The first you ended in a period, it's your top line, begins with "could we get a few steps and documentation for installing cursorfx". Although you end it with a period it's still a question. You seemed to be indicating with this question you were having diffculties with software installation. Hence, my response.

The second was, "should cursorxp be uninstalled?"

As you said,

good luck

the questions, as you put the were more of a collective response to the dozens of posts where people were having difficulties with cursorfx, and it placing files in se4veral areas.

ok bigfoot, where are your cursorfx plus theme files? ha, thankyou, your answer is case in point.

good luck

yes just posted yesterday...
http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wiki/CursorFX

perhaps documentation is needed.
your limited response: Sorry, but Documentaion for installing? Like what do you need, click on download, click on run, shows your limited understanding of windows development. read the POSTS.

with that my final

good luck

I'm on an XP system, my CFX themes are under C: Shared Documents/Stardock/CursorFX/Themes, not sure if it is different for Vista.

For both Vista and XP the themes are in the same location:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes

The installer has been updated to copy CurXPThemes from the previous thems folder to that location.

If you are on XP, the new CFX themes folder is Documents & Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes. The program folder is still in Program Files\Stardock\.

The old CursorXP themes need only to be copied to the new Themes folder in Documents & Settings\... They will show up when CursorFX is relaunched.

If you're on Vista, the new themes folder is something like Documents & Settings\Public\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes.
