Problem with WindowsBlinds

I'm running WindowsBlinds v6 on Windows XP Pro. Whenever I try to apply a WindowsBlinds skin, and I click 'Apply', it acts like it's about to apply it, but then windows defaults back to the Classic Windows skin and WindowsBlinds shuts down, is there any particular reason this might be happening? I've tried almost everything I can think of, except restarting my computer. Is that nessecary for applying a skin? Or is there something else I'm not doing?

Chris3356 open up WindowBlinds configuration copy and post your system info here. What you are describing is what happens when you use the trial version and the trail period is up.  :NOTSURE:

Some of your files seem off.
I'd uninstall, reboot, install the latest version 6.02, reboot again and post yoru new info if i's still not working.

Chris3356, I'm on an XP system, this is what I'm showing as the current build: WindowBlinds 6.02 (build 44 x86). I would get the most current update and see if that clears up your problems.

Well that's not good Chris. Are you running any other customizing software?

I'm trying an uninstall/reinstall, and then I'll try a full system restore, if that doesn't work I'll send an email. I've been needing to do a system restore anyways, so if I have to it's not that big a deal.

Chris, how are you doing the download? Do you have Stardock Central?

Chris, did you do a uninstall and reinstall or a system restore?

Since you have it up give it a work out. Try several skins, do a reboot.

Maybe the ballast shifted.

I did 3 reboots, after the first, nothing happened. After the second, it sort of half worked, my taskbar was pitch black and some programs had the skin while the rest had classic windows. After the last one it worked perfectly on all programs and the taskbar.

Okay Chris, glad to hear you have it working.  :CONGRAT:

Just one more question for you, did you go and download Stardock Central? You can get it here WWW Link. It's free and simply put it's a download manager for Stardock programs. It makes keeping current with updates very easy.
