You guys rock

I don't really know if this is the appropriate place to put this, but I wanted to say this...

Stardock, you guys rock. I remember a couple years ago when GalCiv2:DL first came out. I'll be perfectly honest, when I heard about it, I pirated it off the internet. The first thing that struck me was that there was no copy protection on the game. After playing a few rounds of the game, I started feeling a little guilty at having essentially taken the game from you after you had been so kind as to do away with the copy protection. I went online and read about the game, including the whole starforce deal, and felt even worse. At the time, I had no money, so I simply uninstalled the game.

Last year (summer of 07), I remembered the game, went out and bought the Gold Edition, and I've been playing pretty much nonstop since then. The two things that really blew my mind (and saved my butt a couple times) were the total lack of copy protection, making the install so much easier without a key without having to constantly swap out those pesky CDs, and also the ability to download the game from anywhere in the world and have a playable version of the game on any PC of my choosing. When I went to my cousins house for christmas, I installed it on his PC so I could play when I got bored. When I go home for a week or two and forget my CDs, I can just download it. I don't know of any other company in the entire world who has this kind of attitude towards games, and its really made an impression on me.

Combine this with the fact that most copy protection is useless, and is only an obstacle to someone running a legit copy of the game, and you've got a winning strategy

Anything major you guys do for the forseeable future has got my money. While I can't afford to buy everything you guys make, I've got my preorder in on Sins and Twilight. If GalCiv 3 or Sins 2 come out, I'm getting them. I will continue to support this company as long as you continue to treat your customers with respect and continue to go above and beyond your duty to us.

And I'll keep pirating the games from companies who assume that I'm a criminal before I even open the box.

Forgive me for the long-winded post, but I just wanted to let you know that your actions have made a customer for life and to keep up the good work!

I love what you do. It's all very good stuff.

The AI in the games are just awesome.

Can't wait to see what you will think of for your 4X fantasy game.

Ah, here's that "Thank you, Stardock, for all you do" thread I was looking for. O:)

I haven't posted here in a long while, but after wearing out Dread Lords from playing it so much, I broke down and bought my 55th birthday present in the way of both the expansions.  As I figured, I wasn't disappointed at all.  The addition of Kryo's hull mod just made me feel like Chris Matthews all over. (You know, the ol' shiver up the leg over Obama ploy)

As has been said many times, your commitment to providing quaility software products as well as superior support has resulted in yet another very happy customer.  I look forward to many hours of trying to master the changes that you have made to the game in the past couple of years.  The recent releases of the patches only adds yet more icing to the cake for me.

May success follow you where ever you go. 5* B)

As a cripple going to work in a week or two at his very first job (after hiring an advocacy group), I've got something to prove to the world. I'm going to show people how to do a job RIGHT. I'm going to show people how to treat a job as something to be respected and as something to have pride in. Stardock, as a company, I look up to you as a group of people who do just that.

(On a side note, Fry's screwed up twice in two days when I went in there to get VERY SPECIFIC cables so I'm REALLY adamant about good business practice and pride in one's job. WHO THINKS AN EXTENSION FOR A USB IS MALE/MALE???)
