Create Your Own Country

Some place with a warmer climate. Maybe back in time durring Antiquity. Earth's climate (atleast in Europe, I would expect everywhere else too) was warmer back then.

Have a nice little Villa. Small country, just a few towns. Deomcracy of course. Ohh and a strong spirit of education and philosophy. I want an educated populace.

mine would be a little island somewhere in hawaii... somehow i would hope it were indestructible......

I would rule an island of Geckos and train them to do people stuff.

My country would be called Arullia, and it would encompass all of mainland Europe and the Middile East. The government would be a parlamentary democracy with democratic socialist undertones. I would also buy a lot of MiGs from Russia, I want a formidable air force.
Lastly, our flag would consist of a horizontal tricolor with burgandy, black, and white stripes, with a yellow five-pointed star in the center.

BTW, although this is a nice idea for a post, you want to add 'Create' to the title. Some people ight think you're trying to talk politics or something.;p 

My country would be a small archipelago nation that draws most of its energy from geothermal sources; specifically Mount Doom, the central volcano, and the rest from solar and other renewables. The city would have all of its utilities fully integrated into each home, we would grow most of our own vegetables on the surrounding small islands, and eat mostly seafood. I would be the dictator, though I wouldn't really interfere with people's lives that much anyways; just police them and make sure they don't kill each other. Wrongdoers would be imprisoned in Davy Jones' Locker. Besides the utilities which would be free of charge for all, there would be a free market. Oh, and I would live in a full-fledged medieval fortress, but with all interior comforts and gadgets of modern time and more, including a hemispherical computer screen that was 30 feet in diameter, and I would sit directly in the middle and play GalCiv2, using an interface where I pointed at the ships on screen and shouted my orders at them. And I would have an armory, just for kicks. We wouldn't have a specific flag, though I would likely raise various emblems from time to time, like the Triforce, or the Batman sign, just to mess with tourists. There would be no clocks or watches to tell the time, for all time would be MillerTime.

My country would be on a large island on an unpopulated planet (where there are no damages like there is on this planet). The island would be somewhere between the equator and the south of the planet - so it'd have a Mediterranean climate. The society would focus largely on the science and technological aspects of the universe - however, also emphasizing on the spiritual/self-confidence area of the mind. The power would run mainly on environmentally friendly power sources (i.e. thermal). It wouldn't be a large country - just the capital city and a few towns and villages. It would be a democracy of sorts - a council with each member voted on every # of years. The council would compromise of the head of each county/large town. The head of the council would be voted by the council members.
The flag would consist of five colors in 5 equal blocks, length-ways: White, Green, Dark Blue, Gray and Black., with a large star with 5 points, each symbolizing:
Prosperity
Equality
Loyalty
Hope
Peace.
The name? Latin, something to do with one of the "symbols" above.

Another country of mine would consist of the small, rich and liberal Middle Eastern countries along the Persian Gulf. (Qatar, UAE, Bahrain,ect.) They would be connected by bridges, and our economy would be driven mainly by oil exports, (of course,) and implausibly extravgant resorts and hotels. Our government would be a federal republic, and in our capital city, there would be a beautiful museum dedicated to Middle Eastern history, culture and food.

Yet another country would be situated in southeast Asia. It wouldn't be very big, (about the size of Alabama,) and it would be a democratic Christian theocracy. Freedom of religon would be allowed, but there would be some restrictions. (Can't run for any political office, can only preach in private enviorments, ect.)

Still another country would be an archipelago in the North Pacific, so we would have a tropical climate. The government would be a constitutional monarchy where the emperor/empress would have a touch more authority. (Think Spain.) The islands wouldn't be that big. In fact, if you squeezed them togther, you'd get a landmass about two-thirds the size of Texas. Our economy would be fueled mainly by phosphorus exports and tourism, and our flag would feature a black crab surrounded by a circle of veridian olive branches iside a white diamond,on a bright-red feild. This country would be called Aerica. (Say "Aherica" with a long A.)

lol while everyone continues to promote these beautiful utopias......my country would be located along the central Mississippian river valley (roughly Illinois to Louisiana). The government would be similar to that of Imperial Rome, having a Senate but ultimately ruled by the Emperor. That being said, it would be a constitutional monarchy to limit possible civil strife if the ruling monarch died. I would offer equal protection under the law, but only those with military service or an university education would be allowed to vote, or be in political office.

Agriculture would be a major component of the economy due to the fertile soils found in that region, but we would also specialize in specific consumer goods and technologies. We wouldn't be a mass producing nation, but the products that we did produce would be of a very high quality and demand.

A huge artificial island a few hundred miles off the coast of New York, featuring a massive self-sufficient technate with somewhere around 12 million inhabitants. Governed entirely by the elite of the society, who arrived at their posts through an objective system of meritocratic judgement, and it would be somewhat xenophobic, not out of fear but out of need; there would be no need for outside trade if the huge arcology provided everything the inhabitants needed.

My country would be composed of Florida and the Carribean islands. The government would be a socialist republic. However, it would have a free-market system, and fishing would be a signifcant portion of the economy because of the warm waters there. Also, there would be major naval bases in Havana and Miami,and airfields in Nassau.

I don't know why, but this is fun!

Lol there was a BBC comedy doc about creating your own country presented by Danny Wallace. It was really funny. He basically turned his flat into his own country, gave a letter declaring independence to the then prime minister Tony Blair. And declared himself King.

My country would be the Western Hemisphere Alliance. It would be composed of both North and South American continents. we would rely on mostly air and naval power to combat the evil Russian Empire. We would use renewable resources like solar, wind, and fusion power. We would run on a war economy, because we are trying to win WW3. we would base our government on a Starship Trooper-type government, only allowing those who have served their country in honor.

I would have an Anarchy, of course. The best form of geovernment.
