Multiple Entity Gravity Wells

I'm pretty sure I saw something about this somewhere else, but I can't find it now.
I was just wondering if anyone had found a way to put multiple entities in the same grav well. I'm pretty sure its not, but I was thinking that a new entity type with a new mesh and everything could be made to do this although that is quite a bit of extra work.

Hardcoded aint gonna happen. You can add a "moon" to a planet, but it will be a dummy for appearance, and not be usable

you cant even do that, unless of course you want to build your moon and then set it into a circular move pattern.

Its already been done. and yes the moon will 'orbit' i the same motion as the planet rotates, because both the planet, and moon are technically 1 single mesh.

We may look at adding moons in the future...but it won't be because lordkosc has been begging for them for 15 months!  ;p

Yeah, its because of him we don't have them for the moment... right? :P

lol adding satalites would be cool as the planet develops! mons should have some sort of colony (that does absolultly nothing) that just glows after you hit the hightes stage of development.

its exactly because I've been asking for them for the past 15 months...

you sure about that? Kosc got it working by replacing a ship's mesh with a planetary one. afaik thats the only way its been accomplished yet.

I imported a planet with a moon in its mesh. like i said the moon is useless, and only for show, because the game reads it as a single world.

If we get moons then perhaps we will get lunar doomsday devices :)

And like everything else I can just picture the TEC version being financially based, holding a nearby planet hostage for... 1 million credits, muah-ha-ha

Seriously though, theirs probably would be money oriented. Use the moon's gravity to affect local planet spin, increasing daylight hours and forcing the population to work 30 hour days or something. Good for the taxes.

"hey, are they artificially extending the work day"
"I dunno..."
"yeah, I thought the sky was spinning a bit slow today"
