Spending optimization

Usually I do spend some time adjusting % of expenditures for technologies to reach my targets. I'd like to have the technology slider adjustable not in % but in days left before discovery. The program should auto adjust in case of economy changes.

its a good idea.. a time goal to research would be easyer to understand.

All you have to do is watch the research progress counter in the lower left corner of the main map as you adjust the spending slider. It updates continuously while you have that dialog open.

Changing the measurement there to "days" would break the logic of the trio b/c the other two values affect production of numerous improvements and ships, not just a single research goal.

I agree that is the way I do now, and also I have to adjust it turn by turn.

So it's doable as you say but no fun.
