Well you also had 256 RAM... I have 512 and it would explode on those settings... Man I need a new computer.

wow, any ways i am really bummed about the whole paying thing it better come with like 2 months free or something then and really only then i think will i buy this game unfortuantly i know a very simular game (domination) and it almost died because of it is online fee and it was substantaully less than that to play per month, i maybe would do it for like 5 a month but 15 just way to much (think xbox live cost like 8 a month and you get like over 100 games with that.) also a by product of that will be less gamers on line the worse the matching and game making process takes. sorta like collapsing on its self. just use the stupid annoying adds thing to support you game online please i could deal with that rather tahn you take that much cash from me (15$*12=180$$$$$$$$$$$$) a year to play no game is really worth that get a new computer or something gosh!!!!
rts + money = no money and wasted time in my opinion.
sry:edit: ill wait for homeworld 3 unless they change it lol

nah, he slipped up, he meant to get a zing in at the mmo's, but phrased it ambiguously. No fee, just awesomeness.

SINS is FREE to PLAY online once you BUY it...

Keep in mind I was playing it on a thinkpad laptop. Not exactly a monster machine. That's one of the things that makes this game so good is that it plays well on such a wide variety of hardware.

You guys need one of those overpriced WoW-special edition laptops from dell for the office! Only $4600!

@Gateholder - I think you misunderstand or I misunderstand your post.

Sins on-line service is FREE. Frogboy was talking about other game on-line services.

*Slaps Astax for mentioning WoW*

I just got out of rehab for World of Warcrack! Don't say such things!

FREE to play, no Windows Live subscription, no dedicated servers, none of any of that. The creator of the game will "host" the game on his own PC, making it all very peer-to-peer and very, VERY, free.

Nice. Im wondering about big ship explosions. It seems like they dissapear to fast, like before they are covered/hidden by the effects, and the small things comming out of the explosion doesnt justify the sice of the ships, leaving something to be desired. If you are looking for inspiration for big ship exploding in space, I would recommend Colony Wars for seeing how the parts should fall apart(then again, in space they would travel very fast from the explosion, it could also look cool with the right touch ^^). Dont worry, my preorder stands nailed to my bank account. :)

i cant wait to get my grubby little paws on this game... i just hope it doesnt randomly crash to desktop like my recently acquired company of heroes, which is only compounded by the lack of an autosave... that game drives me INSANE cus of that...
stupid microsoft and their error #0xc0000005...

9 days and counting! woot!

Alway, let me reassure you on the crash issue: as of Beta 2, this game was as stable, if not more so, than a Blizzard product (WoW). As of Beta 4, its just gotten better.

I sincerely doubt there will be any major crash issues in the released game, except insofar as your system has stability or driver issues.

phew!!! then i will be buying this one, and i was wondering will this be very simular to that one game made by game forge ogame, which plays like universes is this basiacally like that execpt 3d and stuff?

Sins costs nothing to play on-line.

I don't think I was being ambiguous.

Morgan: This is going to destroy lives, isn't it?

Me: Yea, but you won't have to pay $15 a month for the service. (i.e. unlike MMOs).

On-line play is free, unlimited.

Its hard to get in everything you want in such a short media bite, I think you did very well pointing the SoaSE unique characteristics so people watching that wouldn't come away thinking 'just another RTS in space'.

Its also an interesting concept you bought up.... to piss off the AI such they will come for the kill and how that might tie in with diplomacy. Thats the first time you've really talked about it in clear terms and I'm sure will appeal to all strategy fans.
