Looks Like CursorFX Was Updatated (1-24) What is Fixed???

HI.

SO far there appears to be no difference after update (Stardock Central shows update 1-24 and just reinstalled after uninstalling several days ago).

No settings apply (size, colors, shadow.)
Any info. about the "fixes" in the update?

For my part, I was experiencing the cursor "going under problem" and this released seems to have corrected it, various situations that would have "activated" the problem were not doing it any more, but ...

I installed one of the latest cursor offered on wincustomize and, from that point, I was not able to use Cursor FX's control pannel at all. It would just freeze on me and stop responding ... I uninstalled Cursor FX from Stardoc Central, specifying to remove all settings and themes, rebooted, reinstall from Stardoc Central just to get the exact same problem again. Did multiple uninstalls / reinstalls but Cursor FX control pannel will just not work !

I'm not sure but when FX control pannel pops up, I can see avaialble cursors which normaly should not be there since they were supposed to have been removed. Could those "ghost" cursors be the cause of the lockup ???

I think I will be forced to wait for the official release, hoping that this lockup won't show up on that final installation, having whatever erronious registry settings still present somewhere ...

My problem with the new update is in setting every time I changed any setting like shadow light height etc with each one like shadow apply my cursor would be under everything. So it did this each time I would reboot go to settings and make the change I wanted and reboot again. So on and so forth. I finally got the settings I wanted sort of. I was tired of the whole process.

I had a personal message from a user that ask me the following:

" I'm curious as to how many cursors you have available in the CursorFX folder? I raised an issue recently and was told by Stardock support that more than 50 cursors might crash the program. (I have CursorFX Plus) I had over 500 in CursorXP and never had a problem. I find that answer hard to believe and wonder if that might be your issue with control panel crashing. I can add more information if interested "

Now that was my happy reply to his message:

" You just solve the mystery!

Doing a search on my hard disk, I found 49 cursors under "C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes" and two others under my personal profile. I guest I busted the 50 cursor limit. I deleted all these cursor themes and installed CursorFX Plus through Stardoc Central (I am using Vista Ultimate) and its control panel now just works fine. So, i guest we need to be very picky with those we install and need to manually delete those we don't want. I had noticed that there is no options in CursorFX to remove unwanted cursors (forgotten option ?) Any way, what is sad is that I had specificly asked for theses files to be removed during the uninstall process... "

Just wanted to share the good news
