Because they all use the same name once you import the images...start with the last one, rename the file with SKS,import the next, rename and then import the last one.(you wont need to rename it)

dont reimport them again or you will have to do it again.

Thank you IR!Just to make sure I do have grn, blk, and wood in the name before import it still shows that way on drop down list .If this is correct then after I import where do I go to rename!

dosnt matter what you name them...they can all be image.png...once imported SKS renames them to what it wants.(thats why you have to rename them,or they all 3 point to the same image...you only have to rename 2 of them) Right click the image name in the right section and choose rename. I would import from a folder on my desktop...not from the skin folder or dropdown list

The last image you import will have the SKS default name for that section.Thats why you dont have to rename that one. Its easy to make substyles that only have a few differences from the original...if these substyles are radically different, you might as well upload them as seperate wb's in a zip together. Yours sound like they are not using common graphics. Not much point to substyles in that case...except to make it simpler for the end user...and some of them cant seem to get that there ARE substyles. ;p

I believe SKS6 will allow image importing that DOSNT rename your file...that would be about the only good thing I have seen in SKS6 so far.(but I have no idea how it manages substyles)

Thank you ,The graphics are pretty much the same shape just different colors and textures

IR I tried it and when I reopen the code in each style showed the new name but it still used the last set of images I imported and applied them to each style so they all ended up using the same start menu and task bar.Point of interest it keeps window frames classic colors and everything else!

Avaman, this is what I have done when I made image changes to start panels (like when I make plain substyles.) I import the images into SKS that I want, then, I go to the tree on the left, click on Taskbar. On the right side, you will see a folder..click on it, and the text will show up in the box directly under the preview window. It should read something like (Name of your blind)/ XP stuff.xp or XPcompactstuff.xp. Put your cursor in front of the XP, and type in what you want to call your substyle. For instance, on my Wnter Reflection Blind, I made plain substyles. My file was Wnter Reflection/XPstuff.xp. I imported the plain start panel. Then I named that file Winter Reflection/PlainXPstuff.xp. Then, go and do the save as to name the substyle. If you omit the part about renaming that file i told you about, you will wind up with what you have now. I hope this helps.

Thank you jazzymjr I will give it a try! :)

Jazzy is correct, you have to have new xpstuff.xp files.(thought you had already done that)There is one for taskbar,XP shell.

Rename them for your substyles to match substyle name.

Check Neutronim DM...there are 4 styles in that skin. ;)

Someone is gonna have to explain to me exactly what a sub style is and how it's made...

some skins come with sub styles, open WB config, check your list of skins, il bet theres at least one that has a sub style. when a skin has a sub style it will show a drop down menu at the bottom right of the viewing window, from here you can select alternative versions, like "full and compact start menus" etc.. if you have "my Christmas" WB it has many sub styles.

Sorry HG I don't have Windowblinds installed nor do I have any skins at all. Thanks for the description though.
