Internal player vs. normal player

Does anyone know what the differences are between the native player and the internal player for video dreams under deskscapes? Are there any benefits to running a dream with the internal player (I'm not sure, but it seems to run with slightly less cpu usage, although it also stretches the dream in a weird way when I select stretch with cropping)?

The internal player is the Deskscapes one (opposed to the DreamScene one).  As usual, Stardock has improved the performance compared to the MS default.  :)  If it works, use it.  If it doesn't,  . . don't.  :)
