i need help editing downloaded .logonxp

(surprised?)

so... i'm probably going to get a lot of flack for asking this...

i downloaded a logonxp file from deviantart:

i wanted the background edited to another and emailed the author, he sounded nice enough over email and said he'd do it for me. so i sent him info, and he hasn't responded to me in a million years. i'm actually writing for my greatx100grandfather.

right. so all i wanted was the background image changed and the password form moved to the bottom center. sounded simple enough... i tried to do it myself with LogonXP and failed miserably... spent an hour or so trying to figure what i was doing wrong to no avail.

now, my question... i was hoping somebody here more experienced than myself, who could do this in less than 5 minutes, would be able to make the edits for me. everytime i try the images don't look correct and are severely distorted.

i would greatly, greatly appreciate anyone's help. thank yoU!

NEVER Open a Splash logon With LogonStudio ;)
First tip

Ok so: follow me step by step
_Delete the logon
_redownload the Logonxp
_Open this file with notepad: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Vista_Login_1\UIFILE.txt
_ search for the line 719: element id="atom(contentcontainer0)" layout="filllayout()" layoutpos="client"
and replace element id="atom(contentcontainer0)" layout="filllayout()" layoutpos="client"
BY: element id="atom(contentcontainer0)" layout="verticalflowlayout(0,2,2,1)" layoutpos="client"

SAVE the UIFILE.txt

Then for the Wallpaper make it in Bmp
and save it as Bitmap_100.bmp in C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Vista_Login_1\

OPEN LogonStudio
APPLY the Logon
