installed 1.90b .023 version deskscapes

have installed the above and as a test downloaded the big blue sea hd dreamscene, because i thought that you had to have vista ultimate to operate deskscapes and there is a version coming for any vista os which i beleive there is an earlier version out, which i may have.question; is this version the one for any vista os or do you have to wait till febuary for the proper version to come out? 2 i cannot find this big blue sea scene anywhere, it has been downloaded, but so far is undetectable, so can someone please enlighten me a little as to what has happened and where this dreamscene could be and for me to apply it. thanks.

The version you have is the most current and should run on any version of Vista that has Aero enabled.

You should put your dreams here for them to be seen by DS:
{Drive}:\Documents and Settings\{USERNAME}\Documents\Stardock\Dreams

To use DS, right click on yoru Desktop, choose Personalize, choose Desktop Background, choose DeskScapes Animated Wallpaper, choose a dream.

do not understand, have downloaded another dream the light blue sea. same thing happened its disappeared, have tried what you said but for some reason all i get is a box with a few wallpapers and nothing else eg. a wallpaper i downloaded some time ago for wb6 the ones i downloaded are not in this box, perhaps my aeros vista has somehow been disabled, how can i check on this. one more thing when download was completed it just went back to the download page and nothing else ie. no balloon saying download complete or this has been added to your dreams etc.

Try using a different browser to download to your desktop and copy the dreams to the correct directory.
When you installed DeskScapes through SDC did you also install the dreams that came with it?  You might want to start there and make sure the dreams that Stardock made for DS work.

managed to find the 2 dreams mentioned. and it says that windows cannot open this file to open the file windows need to know what programme to use to open the file, then gives two options 1/ go online or 2/ do it manually.ps i used the deskscapes utility to go on line and downloaded from there.

It doesn't sound like .dream files are associated with DreamScene.  I'd uninstall and reinstall from SDC.
