Warhammer 40K mod

This has probs been said before (although my 30 second search of the forums suggested otherwise) but is someone going to make a 40K mod? i mean, it hasnt really been done before, mainly due to the lack of visual images of the warhammer ships, but this can work to our advantage. ships could look like anything, just as long as they stay within that races looks. eg, a chaos battle ship will be covered in spikes ect, with bodys and blood all over it, but an imperial guard frigate will have equillas and honourary tributes to the empror all over it.

I love Warhammer 40K, although i dont collect the models, i read the books and have all the pc games. If anyone was thinking of modding sins into a 40K game, i would be more than happy to help (in terms of information about things, my modding skills are reduced to the level of changing how many ships i have in HW).

The thing about 40K is, that it is so diverse, there are many races (although we will only need 3 for sins) and so many ships, lore aspects, time periods and events. I think if there ever was a mod, the vasari should be the eldar/dark eldar (aliens) the TEC either the imperial guard or the space marines, and the advent the chaos (having broken off from the rest of humanity in sins; the chaos broke away from the imperium in the 31st centuary.)

So yeh, anyone up to it????/

Edit: Just so u know, there has never been a space rts of the warhammer 40K universe...it would be ground breaking if someone made one.

Alright, have you seen screens of the Advent? believe me..those are not 'evil' looking ships...they would be much closer to eldar. And yes....Gothic is the space aspect of 40k...

battlefleet gothic? i think im too young to have heard of it (my guessing that it is an old game) but im pretty sure im talking about warhammer 40K

Edit: oh, didnt know BFG was 40K. awesome, ill check it out. now, advent, i know are alien in appearance, but its definantly the chaos. they could be eldar ships captured by the chaos? or a new model could be made for em.

im not gonna let this thread die....i cant b bothered reading all 113 posts on the other thread.....start a new one. now, is someone up for the job of scripting/texturising? i know i cant, but im good with lore...


Edit: ok....scary guy wants to know my age...meh, what harm could it do? lol, im 15. i only started 'gaming' two years ago...before then i made bombs out of the shotgun shells in the shed to keep me sane. now i have games to fulfill my urge to blow stuff up (although i still do make the occasional bomb...)

I'm 15 too...

Please for the love of god just look at the damned topic. They are already doing models. Some are already in sins. And you're obviously bad with lore if you think the advent look like chaos.

they dont, but they can be 'made' to look like chaos. it fits the lore. also, they capture ships. also choas isnt limited to the human form.....eldar go chaotic to. the vasari can then be somthing else.....

How does it fit the lore? At all? Chaos are god from the warp (or whatever) and one of the Emperor's sons runs away with some space marines to worship them! And they are called "Dark Eldar." I believe, even though they are both "Chaotic," "Chaos" typically refers to Imperium Chaos. And when people convert to worship chaos gods they look wayyy different (name 1 person that looks like a Slanesh follower). And the Advent capture ships? What? They mind control ships with their phyonic abilites. I don't think Chaos do that.

meh, ur the player. i dont even have the game. i was reffereing to the fact that the advent are humans, but they broke away and are different with their phycic abilitys. chaos broke off from the imperium, and even though they have older tech to space marines, they have the power of the warp (in short, magic). the 'look' of the ships has nothing to do with it, it can be changed with modding, im talking about the lore.

Thats ridiculous, and you should know it.

The guy has an existing mod going, that he's actively working on, and you don't want to read the thread because its too long?

He doesn't even have to read all of em! Too bad I think he wants a 40k (land) and not a BFG mod... which you can't do with sins considering the fact that sins is in space and 40k isn't, only BFG is.

Yes it is. How do you think they get from planet to planet? BFG is exactly what you want... if you had just bothered to read it in the first place you would've realized it. 113 posts isn't that much. Its not as long as LotR seriers. It won't take 5 days to read.

if your gonna ask for a mod To be made or IF its being made, then at least know what your asking for before you do so.
than once you have the correct knowledge, USE SEARCH! after your results are found and you find the existing thread on the topic, dont be lazy and read the damn thing!
