No Default Button-Need Help

I've been told to make my playing character the default for posting here, but there is no default button on my Manage Characters screen. It shows my character name, Wotan, ranking, games played and won and score, and there are lines for adding new characters. This is the screen that is very dark, with red printing. There is a question mark button in the upper right corner, which if clicked on answers the question what is the default button and shows an illustration of a default button just above the medals...kind of adding insult to injury, because there is no such default button on the actual screen, only on the help screen. I tried adding another character on the theory that maybe they don't provide a default button unless you have two or more characters, but that didn't work. Can someone help me out on this? I'd like to make my playing character my default so my humble medals will show here and so if I join an empire I will be the same as others. Thanks.
