preorder, it's not like waiting a day for it to dl is bad compared to waiting a week or more for the packaged version. I know it's annoying, I've downloaded demos on phone lines before, but it can't take longer than a day or two.

yeh, but as said b4, my net sux. it will download, but after 3 hours or so, it freezes up, stops the download, so i have to start again. nd it does it again and again, at random. i hate it, and cant wait for our net upgrade soon... i might just order the game sent over from america or something. better than nothing.

Hrm... doesn't SDC include a download manager to restart downloads if your connection fails?

If not, I hope it gets added sometime soon!

I am pretty sure SDC stars from where it froze, so you would get it downloaded eventully.

Beta will look and feel "dirty" to you in about 28 days.

... feels a shiver go over him at the thought of Sins being "28 days later"

*phew* i managed to convince dad to get me sins pre-ordered via stardock, the cd copy. should be shipped to me after its release. omg, im so happy now. cant wait till feb... how long does it usually take for it to be shipped over? like two weeks or sumthin isnt it?

As a side note: The pre-order that includes the digital download as well as the retail box, does include the cd right???? the only reason i got that one is coz i cant download it....if it does come with the cd, i know its a stupid question, im just really tired. if it doesnt....then im screwed...yeh

Its pretty quick -- I remember getting a galciv 2 boxed copy before they hit the shelves at my local store (well, at the same time... more or less...).

If you get a boxed copy, you get a CD.

But you should be able to download -- even if your connection is slow, just leave it running overnight and it will work fine.

the fact that its downloading via a dlm at all should mean that your file dosent stop genraly that hapens to me when the connection is particularly slow. on a side note whats your usual download speed mines about... 25kb/s and i had it over night (25kb/s on dsl... thats aussie internet for you)
mine jumps from 5 to 15 kb/s, but on average its like around 7 kb/s. yeh, really slow, i hate it. i wish australia could get better internet, like america speed. it would rock so much. ill give the dl a try at some point, gotta wait for my computer to come back though...apparently i killed it just by touching the graphics card. something to do with static electricity. this laptop has trouble with microsoft word, so i doubt sins will run on this. more waiting....*sigh*

well if youv fried your gpu then you will need to get a new computer but im prety sure you could run sins sins can probbly run on any computer up to a couple of years old (when i say couple i mean about 2 or less)

This laptop cant play any game except for really old ones, like homeworld or halo, but even then, its struggling. btw, i might try nd download it, see if it works on this computer, is there anyway i could dl the beta now? not for multi, just for testing single player matches....it would rock if i could, seeing as i missed out on the beta.

It's being published in AU/NZ by Auran, though I'm not sure if they intend to match the NA release date or not.

Auran tells me that they plan to release Sins in April 2008 in Australia / New Zealand.

Very nice devs :) I see a great game ahead! Can't wait :) Remember when you guys become big and famous just sell out to the xbox and consol crowds in a cheap manner to make your fast buck like most companies are today, but be true to your pc friends who got you there! ;) Not to go off topic, but I am. Amazing how the Xbox games at now a outrages 60 dollars a title are also done half ass and half size and people keep buying! It truly is amazing, give a bunch of fancy pixils/sound effects and MP and you have yourself a 60 dollar sale per game! Woot! Give me a peice of that action!

The new generation of gamers are a bunch of suckers! Sorry to say, but buying those games at those prices = no bargin thats for sure. I even got to play mass-effect, while good, it wasn't worth the 60dollars for 16 hours of game play. Descent game, but nothing that made it worth the price.

Now Witcher for the PC, well spent 40 bucks if I say so myself, wait ..I Just did :) well it is a great game. As with that title ,Sins looks to be another worth while investment for my dollars :) Again thnx devs for actually caring about your products own worths.

salu!

I play WoW and blizard never does anything in the forums to answer complaints exept to lock threads :(
thanks for being more involved
game looks great i think i will buy it

Sins was built to answer a year's worth of complaints, that's what open betas are all about :)

open betas are about a years worth of complaints?

and chaintim its even worse in aus pc games are in the $80-$100 price range for a new one and xbox/console games can be $100-$120 for a new onw probbly more. thats why these days i buy games from america via online distrabution so much cheaper (saved $50 on the orange box :CONGRAT:)

My paycheck is too small!

Hmmm... thought I`d give it a try.

Yes, I have to agree - those screenshots are light-years ahead of the base game shots we`ve seen from the betas. Impressive in every way; many strategically dispensed screens give intriguing hints as to welcome elements in the full game. Thumbs up.

And some 'clean' black space at the tactical level of view too! Thank you!

If the soundtrack ships with a pre-order from retail, I might get it there (will the special/collector`s edition be carried by retailers?). Who knows: this might be one of the only times I order a pending game online.

Any idea if we're going to get screens of the other two superweapons and/or their stats/what they do? I can't wait the twentysomeodddays to know!  :p

I can tell you they all affect planets but they all have completely different effects.
