Looking for an Empire to Join.

Translation: Married White Gamer Over 40 seeks a Multiverse Empire to fulfill Gaming Aspirations in Limited Spare Time, looking for a fun group of players, Non-Splintering empire preferred, no Alt-Meta Detractors need apply.


On a more serious note, the empire I formerly belonged to, the HCH is leaderless and I don't have the time as a father of three boys, to take up the challenge of re-energizing the HCH to it's previous prominence. I only use one character and prefer to play small galaxies, I'm not interested in giant and up. I will post games regularly and I have my personal goal to be #1 in both Civ Solar and Mil Solar on the Altmeta (currently #5 on Mil Solar and #10 on Civ Solar). Empires founded from the remnants of the HCH will be given first consideration, though in truth I am leaning heavily towards the Galactic Diplomats because of their representation on the Galactic Core forums (Go Mumblefratz Go!).

If you are looking to add what I have to offer to your empire, PM me here or at the Galactic Core, I will be deciding my course of action by Sunday of this week (That would be January 6th, 2008).

Consider yourself invited to the Arrakis Imperium. I have just recently started rebuilding things here. You are more than welcome to come hang out. As a married guy nearly 40 myself, I dont have much "play time" and can understand entirely.

Certainly the Diplomats will welcome any players that wish to join our ranks. We have been around for quite sometime and have gone from being popular and new to old and irrelevant and back again, and we will probably do so again.

There are also many newer empires out there that for the moment may have more members or be more active, just as a few months ago HCH was the up and coming empire. Not to denigrate any empire but the Diplomats have stood the test of time and still continue. Sometimes we're on top and sometimes were not but really that isn't what is important, what is important is that we endure and we will continue to endure.

Your desired game style and ambitions in the MV and or AltMeta are fine and deserve honor, however no one is in any way deemed more or less important simply due to their position on one high score list or another. The Diplomats are the empire of Magnumaniac, Junta, Fuels Chief, Weyrleader, Evil and Exalted Druid, Kenny, Technician and many more current and former stars of the MV and AltMeta too numerous to mention. The Diplomats have their roots in GalCiv I and every version, past, present and future, of GalCiv II. As long as there is some form of GalCiv the Diplomats will endure. The Galactic Diplomats are the empire of history.

A thank you to all those who contacted me about their empires and extended invitations. As I wrote earlier, I was leaning heavily towards the Galactic Diplomats based on my affiliation with so many of them on the Galactic Core forums. Ultimately I have decided to ally myself with them and their empire.

I am sad i missed this thread. The Tyranny of Evil was born directly out of the HCH and we have a many ex-members, sure would have been nice to have you Rex.
