Harvard Should Revoke MBA they Conferred on George W. Bush!

I guess the assessment of Professor Toshi Tsurumi, who was the economics teacher GWB had at Harvard, was correct when he said George Bush was one of his worst students. Professor Tsurumi said a teacher remembers the best and worst students over the years.

George Bush was fortunate in that when he took office we had a balanced budget for the first time in over two decades. We had tax rates that produced just enough revenue to meet our spending levels. Bush and his GOP supporters in Congress immediately set out to destroy that equilibrium by major tax cuts while at the same time dramatically increasing spending.

The Bush fiscal policies violated the most basic economic principals that he should have learned at Harvard. In addition, he ignored history when Reagan tried the very same thing in 1981 with the result of creating $3 Trillion of new debt with his Supply Side (Voodoo) economics.

A favorite sport of Republicans is to complain about the spending of Democrats. Ronald Reagan managed to create 3 times more debt in his 8 years then Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson and Carter combined. George W. Bush surpassed Reagan and will have added 4 times more debt then all those Democrats combined by January 2009. Whenever you hear Bush or any Republican talk about the spending of the Democrats take this Blog out and reread it.

If I were the President of Harvard, I would be embarrassed to know that there was a diploma that said George W. Bush was granted an MBA from our most prestigious university! Yes Professor Tsurumi, George W. Bush was most likely your WORST student!

then that must mean that bush got at least a B. meaning he earned his mba.

now if you want to take something away from someone who obviously did not earn it. then we need to take away your status as a col.

Try again. He did not get anything close to a "B"!!!!! How he graduated is a GOOD question. It is like how he got into the National Guard. How was he granted an Honorable Discharge. How did he get the job as General Manager of the Rangers? How did be get foreign investors to back his two failed oil companies? How did he get into Yale or Harvard? Answer to all those questions is Daddy and his friends!

Bush did not EARN almost everything he got including the 2000 election.

What I love especially about Bush is that he was never succesful in business, his dismal record speaks for itself! With the exception of co-managing a baseball team, the Texas Rangers, all of the other companies he ran, he ran into the ground. The only thing that kept them afloat was massive infusions of cash from "angel" investors (an angel investor is really a stupid investor, or someone willing to give massive amounts of money on the understanding that they will get a return in some other form, like political favours later on)

When he entered the Texas Air National Guard he scored in the 25th percentile on the written aptitude test, the bare minimum acceptable passing grade. Many others who scored better were sent to Vietnam.

All in all I'm sure he's a nice enough guy, but is this really the man who should be running the U S of A?

Arty,

I assure you, Bush will not be reelected in 2008.

The question of whether he should be president or not is no longer germane.

Let's concentrate on issue that are current, not history!

We need to look at what Bush did and make sure we NEVER make those kinds of mistakes again by electing anyone that supports his ideas!

Which ideas, specifically do you think were mistakes?

Getting rid of Saddam? I support that.

Lowering taxes? I support that.

Are you talking about the same people you called idiots for voting for him in the first place and for voting for the GOP? I gotta wonder how you are depending on the mentallity of the same people you claim to be stupid.

About the article, well I guess an eye for an eye. I will agree to have Bush's MBA taken away if you are OK with being demoted to Ensign. I mean if we gonna have people diminished for their stupidity, you should be first in line.

You claim to not have an obssesion with Bush yet this article screams obssesion. This one takes the cake. It's sucks you get points for my posting as it is.

So you support a war that killed almost 4,000 troops, injured another 29,000 and has done nothing to reduce the danger of future attacks. Great Plan.

So you support a tax cut that was justified by a Surplus that never existed and helped create a bigger deficit- Another winner.

So you support our failure to protect our border and ports even after 9/11. Sounds like a plan to me.

So you support an energy plan that has made us more dependent on foreign oil and doubled the price of gas and tripled the price of heating oil-- Another winner.

Yes it is people like you that gave us Bush!

Even these people see how big of a mistake they made by supporting Bush. We only need 3 % of the voters to wake up and vote for new policies. Bush only won by 2% in 2004 and lost by 500,000 votes in 2000.

Bush said, “Judge by results” I agree and that is just what I have done. It will take decades to undue the harm Bush has done to this country!
