TweakVista startup issue

I downloaded this software about a month ago and was quite pleased with the features I saw available when I first started it up. After that however, tweakvista has not worked for me, Windows always displays a message saying "TweakVista has stopped working". I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing has worked. Im really unsure of where the issue is because Windows is not giving me an actual error, and I know my os is running effectively with no issues. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks alot, James

Untill someone knowledgeable comes along, you might think about if you loaded anything after TweakVista that maybe causing the problem. Now, are you saying that it only worked the first time after you loaded it and open it and then not after that? Have you checked to make sure you have the current release?  I can't really help much, don't use Vista. ;)

Umm it stopped working an hour later when I reopened it to give it a try. I had not loaded any other program within that hour, I had gone to eat dinner. So from the time of install, then closing and going to eat, coming back an hour later and reopening it, it stopped working. And ever since nothing I have tried will fix it.

Wow, that qualiflies as being strange. Since no one stop by, I can only suggest that you contact [email protected]. Although you may want to wait and give it another day and see if someone from support answers you tomorrow.  :NOTSURE:

Free version or trial?

Do you have anything like security applications that could be messing with it? If so try turning them off to see if you still have troubles.

It might just be better if you send a ticket to [email protected] if you try this and get no effect even after a reinstall.

I believe it's the free version, I was planning on purchasing based on its performance. I have tried turning the vista security options on and off to no avail

Well, its been around 48 hours. I've gotten no reply at all, and their email stated not to contact them until they do first. Can anyone here help me?

James they will get to you. You can also track your ticket. Use the email that they sent you, it should explain in there how to. It might just be tough getting an response or a fix this close to the Holidayx. Hang in there. ;)

ahh, I have been super busy this weekend, my bad, I havent had the time to try what they suggested, i will be doing it sunday morning, now off to bed...
