Governor Tom Vilsack (D) on S-CHIP

It's the way to socialized health care

http://michellemalkin.com/2007/11/17/democrat-admits-s-chip-is-the-universal-health-care-trojan-horse/
As many of us have said before, the S-CHIP program is just another way to bring universal health care into America. Democrats have used the S-CHIP purely for political reasons, and this audio clip/transcript shows exactly what their plans are.

"I think there is going to be a commitment to universal coverage. I don’t think it’s necessarily going to be a sector by sector process. I think you either need to go in whole hog or not. We tried to sort of squeeze the middle here with doing children and doing seniors, and trying to squeeze it. If anything happens, it would more likely look something like this: you would extend eligibility for children from 200% of poverty to 300% of poverty, and create resources to insure the parents of those children."

Well, except for a few kool-aid drinkers, and the know nothings, this has to be the worst kept secret of the new century.

And the left rails about the lies of Bush.  There go those 3 fingers again.

Another problem is people don't understand the consequences of socialized health care.  All they hear is "free" and that is good enough.

As long as their signature is not on the check, they think it is free. The worst thing that happened to this nation - and freedom in general - is witholding taxes.

Couldn't agree more, although the National Firearms Act of 1934 is neck & neck with it.

this will probable make me a bad guy here. but the worse thing to happen in this country was welfare and social security.

social security isn't a bad thing in and of its self. but it led to the welfare state.

welfare was bad because it was there to "help people" but it was a status quo keeper.

if you got on welfare they made it impossible for you to get work and get off of it.

it also got people used to the government "helping people" with problems that wasn't the governments job to do.
