It's for a little Projekt I am working on, I wont tell ya what I am doing it even doesen't matter.

More seriously, that's probably going to be a turn-off for most people People should know what their contributions will be used for and how, as well as be credited for helping.

aldarian i think what TFL BigBANGtheory means is this sentance:

because Allah is the god of the islam faith. So saying that sentance might be offensive to those ppl

It is incredibly insulting towards Islamic religion to portray Allah in that way.

And insurgents (people defending their homeland) don't shout (to my knowledge) 'allah' before detonating explosives.

And those people shouldn't be considered terrorists; terrorists are people who spread terror, Insurgents are simply people who defend their homeland (hello revolutionary war, 1776). I support NATO and any other country that has troops stationed over in the middle east, and I don't support insurgents/terrorists over there. But don't sound so fucking arrogant, seriously.

This is why I said you should just say what you're planning on doing, otherwise the kind of comments like Windexglow's above are inevitable.

I didn't jump on the Allah thing because it's fairly obvious that you're trying to do something silly, but not everyone is quite so loose-minded, and a lot of people are just waiting for the opportunity to jump at someone's throat.

As for the rest of you commenting on it, lighten up. I very much doubt whatever he plans on doing is anything hateful towards Islam or Muslims, unless of course you twist it to mean such.

If it's purposeful, I agree. And most of us these days are very careful because we know it's a touchy subject. But I doubt he did it with specific hostile intent, and probably just didn't realize how it'd be taken.

Asking him to reconsider using that line or changing it would go ways farther than ripping his head off for (what I'm assuming) is a pretty innocent slip.

Personally, I think people ought to lighten up about making fun of religions. Things like riots in the Middle East because a Dane parodied Muhammed are stupid. Fine, you don't have to like it, but that's what freedom of speech is for. I don't mind if you parody Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, atheism, or any religion. Its your right and no one ought to try and take that away from you.

Have you ever heard Carlos Mencia or Dave Chapel? They are popular and funny, yet they make fun about race all the time.

Its not that people don't have to be committed to religion to allow this, only that they are more willing to laugh at themselves. For instance, I firmly believe in my political views, but I laugh at good political cartoons against leftists and rightists and those in the center (though there are few of the last one that I've found).
