I am sure it has been said many times before but from the perspective of someone new here and without artist talent - the creativity and dedication exhibited on this site is...well...overwhelming at times.

I have looked at many of your profiles and find the diversity amazing. To think that all of this talent has been brought together in one place is really an achievement.

I come here everyday just to see what is new and I am never disappointed. So I just wanted to say thank you for offering such art for the enjoyment of others! I am truly envious of your abilities.

So lets digress - this thread started out as a simple thank you for such a wonderful community...

there's usually coffee and chocolate available too. have you visited the chat yet? it is much fun and very informative.

Which reminds me of a story. . . .
I'm doing teh family road trip from Texas to Wisconsin.  Not a huge drive but long-ish.  We make good time and I'm in good spirits when we cross into Wisconsin and stop at teh rest stop in Kenosha.

So there I am . . at a urinal . . . doing what comes naturally when the imp on my shoulder says, "wanna have some fun?"  I've got a problem with this imp, I do what he says almost every time.

So as I'm finishing up, I lean over to the guy next to me.  I clear my throat and say, "So, I hear you're the new guy."  I toss in a big wink and a leer . . . and then walk away as the panic crosses his face.
