You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

The vowel sound after the k is almost nonexistant, but it's impossible to say it with no vowel sound at all.

There is actually a basic Kzinti language that has been created (not nearly as developed as Klingon), and also a Kzinti script/alphabet.

If you go to larryniven.org you can read about these things, and a lot more about the Kzinti. :)

Thanks Silverbeacher, that is the official Kzinti symbol. It's a star with a claw slash across it.

hey KP did you notice that in just over a month the Olympian Gods have been able to rack up a million points on the AltMeta with just two major active players? I told you that we're at war, and I'm coming for you. One can not reach the top without the blessings of the Gods :LOL:

now i just wish the actual MV reflected current scores better :( c'est la vie

With the favor of the Fanged God we have risen to become the most powerful empire in this galaxy. The blessings of lesser gods are of very little significance, for eventually the Fanged God will destroy them all and consume what power they have.

Motti, I dont think a blessing from one of those Olympians would have a very salutary effect on you, being an infernal being of pure evil. Make sacrifices to the Fanged God and you will be be impervious to these other petty and jealous gods.

My feline race is called the Assryian Sisterhood, and yes, I have writen about them, in my Earth Federation AAr. (Don't worry, my loyal fans,I WILL finish it!) I'll probobly do an AAr from their persprective next, they have a very intresting backstory. :)

More victories for the empire were submitted overnight, and I submitted an 80k plus game this morning. I have two more in the works, one of which will be upwards of 150k. Keep it up Kzinti!  :HOT:

I feel like I'm falling behind, but rest assured, my gigantic map suicidal tests are coming along. I abandoned my DA quest and fell back to DL to test some theories without the differences between DL and DA getting caught up in the mix.

The tests have garnered me some valuable information and the final game will start tonight after one more reset of my character. Of course, that means I'll be at 0 points for a while. That'll change before long.

This will be my first full game gigantic map attempt. From what I see, It'll need to exceed 309k points to get me directly into the top 25. Wish me evil luck.  :)

Great to hear my demonic friend. ;) I was just thinking of asking you how it was coming along. If it gets finished soon, it could be the game that will put us over 11 million points!

I'm sure you can use your infernal powers to make your own luck, but may the Fanged God look favorably upon you and grant you a glorious victory!

I would like to join, but I think I'm out of place in *this* Empire. I'd join the Greater Pak Hegemony, if only we Pak could stand each other! ;)

I hope you come to see the error of your ways, BrennanNL. My being a demon, if you think it would help, you could join and claim that I possessed you and made you join. There's always room for treachery, right?  :HOT: 

My gigantic map game is coming along nicely. I haven't colonized a single planet yet (I upgraded my initial colony ship to a survey ship) and the AI has gotten over 200 out there. My military rating is zero and the enemy is up to Plasma weapons. I'm in the negative for money and losing just over 500 bc per turn now.

It's October of year 0 and I'm getting ready to strike. It'll be a glorious battle.  :HOT:

It sounds like you've got them right where you want them.  :LOL: What strategy will you use to pull yourself out of that?

A little bit of both perhaps? More victories for the empire is always greatly appreciated of course (the extra loot and slaves make us very happy!), but the most important thing is to have fun with the game. :) I last tried to download ToA a few days ago and kept getting errors, so I havent tried it at all yet. If you want to try something new, take a look at the thread MVL Round 6, pages 13-15, and try out the 0-year win strategy that works on any difficulty level, for tiny maps.

SB, there is something native to Kzinhome called zheerekti, which is like catnip to Kzinti. Do you bring enough for everyone? ;)

hey KP, do you happen to remember when your Rank upgraded to Admiral? I want to update the MV Medals thread with the correct number. Its currently not listed. Also, Piz and I are going to try for the Fleet Admiral rank, all we know is that its somewhere above 172 games (the most MV games submitted currently)

It's another glorious day for the Empire....we surpassed 11 million points today! :CONGRAT: A special thanks to TorontoRock for putting us over the top, and also congrats on his first 0-year suicidal victory!

For those of you not familiar with the way in which to achieve such the 0-year victory feat, go to the forum thread "MVL Round 6" and read pages 13-15, where a number of elite players have detailed their strategies. It's a great way to try out some new techniques, and win some quick victories and points.

If you win a 0-year victory, you can then go to the thread "Year Zero CLub", and brag about your accomplishment. ;)

It is also a great day for the Kzinti, because we have some new members to greet....welcome to Ronin Der Zweite, Norreng, and Rincewind57!  :D

Hmmm, this thread got quiet. I usually see one or two posts everyday. I guess people are really busy checking out the new TA build. Or, maybe some people are out there kicking some Drengin butt. (Or if you like the Drengin, kick someone else's butt.) Anyway, I'm working on a new huge map. I just love epic length games. Long live the Empire!
