Over the past few days I am sure you have seen the usual far left rhetoric about comments Gen. Sanchez made about Iraq. One of the funny things about this story is that these people were also the one's who called Gen. Sanchez quite a few names during the Abu Ghraib "scandal". However, since he was critical of Bush nothing else matters.
But something you haven't seen reported too much in the media (except for Fox News, go figure) is that Gen. Sanchez ripped the media during this same speech.
Some quotes about the media from his speech:
- "unscrupulous reporting, solely focused on supporting an agenda and preconceived notions of the U.S. military."
- "What is clear to me is that you are perpetuating the corrosive partisan politics that is destroying our country and killing our service members who are at war. My assessment is that your profession, to some, has strayed from these ethical standards and allowed external agendas to manipulate what the American public sees on TV, reads in newspapers and what they see on the Web,"
I guess it's no surprise why the media didn't focus on this and continued to run with the usual anti-Bush nonsense. Even though the media the focused on selective comments, they didn't followup with something else Sanchez said, that a full-scale with?drawal is not an option. Once again, does anybody want to say the MSM doesn't have a liberal agenda?
