It can't not be said. Wonderful show gentlemen.
While some of the usual 'superstars' may not have played up their potential, they again showed how to pull it together and do what needs to be done. You never seem to know whose game is going to be "on," which is reason enough to tune in. Artest getting his was the icing on the cake.

Props to Tayshaun. The video of his block is currently available at http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/ and I can't stop watching it...

Can't wait for Wednesday. It looks like I picked a good year to jump on the band wagon.

I'm with ya brotha... I'm originally from Michigan, so it's only natural that I would vote for the home team.  This team is a whole lot more respectable than the "Bad Boys" from the late 80s early 90s... I liked Isaih Thomas and Joe Dumars, but I couldn't stand Laimbeer and Rodman...


These guys are a lot more likable, and I think they're more talented too...


We're up 2-1, and I think we're gonna take it in 6.  We'll let 'em win one more in Indiana so they won't feel too bad.

imajinit, I like your game 6 prediction. It sounds pretty right on, unless they just go ahead and win the next two - which also seems to be a distinct possibility.
I haven't verified, but according to one friend's research, the Pacers have never recovered from a 2-1 deficit to win a seven-game NBA playoff series.

I hope the Pistons win. They've worked for it over the years. I think the Pistons are going to go the Finals this year. Its their year.

It's game 6 folks!  I'm writing this during halftime... so far neither team can buy a basket, but Indiana has managed to somehow manufacture a 6 pt lead at the half. 


They're well on their way to the lowest scoring game in Playoff history.  The Pistons are gonna need more than 27 points at the half if they think they're gonna compete with the Lakers...

Hey, they've already gone further than a lot of people thought they would. Recognizing that the Lakers will probably win, I do think the Pistons have a chance - not playing like they did last night though. At least their defense held Indiana from taking too big a lead.
And thank goodness they won - after Artest's little stunt. He may have cost his team the series...

I'm sure I'm partial because I live in Detroit, but the Pistons are a very respectable team. They're blue collar, like much of Detroit, and it's great to see them pull together to achieve, rather than relying on one or two to pull them along.

But kingbee, this should make the games that much more fun for you to watch, having ties to both teams.

I would be happy to not see Kobe win.

this may sound psychotic but...im the reason the lions are well..the lions. every season i do my best to try and help them by making a concerted effort to avoid any conscious awareness of what theyre doing to offset this thing but the damn sportscasters wait til im not paying attention and...youve seen the results i hadda really blank out to keep the pistons in the playoffs (it works both ways..the last lakers game i saw was the one they lost in mn...prior to that i accidentally walked in on someone watching that game they won just after i made myself leave with .5 seconds on the clock) hopefully both teams cant lose simultaneously but ya never know.

you dont wanna see kobe win cuz of his legal problems?

In that case, you'd better not watch the games after all. Or, maybe you should, as an experiment -- See if you can't reverse the spin of the earth on its axis!! I'm poking fun at you, of course. You can't cause a team to lose by watching them. That's superstition talking.

I read a great editorial criticizing all these folks that commend Kobe for playing so well despite all his personal distractions, when in fact, he made the choice to have extra-marital relations and no doubt cause this huge distraction for his whole team. Yea, you're a hell of a guy, Kobe.
