So people on here get their info from... Microsoft Watch????? Am I missing something??

so tell me why you'd go to such a site to get 'info'?

The first rule of a journalist is to be unbiased. Examining both sides of the story and then making it is an important task of a journalist, which sadly, alot today have forgotten.

Even then, what kind of site is this?

I read this pile of crap and all it does is bash Microsoft. I wouldn't care (About them bashing Microsoft) if it was coherant in it, and had a real point, but the site comes off as a screaming child, or rather the Enquirer jr., with all this biased garbage.

So excuse me, but is this honestly all the Vista haters have? They must get their info from biased sites?

And then you say your in the IT field, and yet you get your information in the stupidest methods possible!

If you guys really are in the IT field, then all this dis-information is a disgrace to the IT field. An IT user must be unbiased in everything they do for god sakes!

What, are you next gonna tell me if your boss wants you to add Vista your gonna act like this?

We may as well still have racism, because blind biasedness is pretty much as bad. Just like people from the past, your hating things without giving it a chance. Yes, I did just go there, because for people to do their job, and then come home and act like morons, is a disgrace.

I honestly don't care about Microsoft, but if your going to give critism to something, DO IT CORRECTLY AND STOP ACTING LIKE CHILDREN. This attitude people have had since Vista has come out has been annoying as hell to say the least.

Mention real problems about Microsoft. Give unbiased sites.

As far as I can see on WinCustomize if people like Vista and have no problems with it they say so.If they don't like it or are having problems with it they also say so.I see no bias, just people relaying their own experiences, whether they be negative or positive.
If individuals want to be anti Vista though, well that surely is their right isn't it?They aren't forcing you to agree with them, usually they are just reporting their personal experiences with it.
Why don't you link us to some of the "biased" articles which have so terribly offended you Zellio?

By the way, comparing what you see as bias regarding a computer operating system to racism is utterly ridiculous.

I am pretty pleased with my IT guy being biased. Imagine if he was all willy nilly in what he installed on my PC.

Do you think most media sources are unbiased? What about most IT academies? If you look, many schools teach a lot of Microsoft, but little of Linux, Unix, or (shudder!) Mac. It is important for an IT pro to be able to work on multiple platforms, not just a single proprietary platform.

Microsoft has brought many important things to the industry, but in my opinion, they've benefitted too long from being the only horse in the race. Vista's price points are ridiculously high, simply because Microsoft has no competition to worry about. And don't get me started on $700 for Office 2007. You can get Corel's WordPerfect Suite for half that, and OpenOffice for nothing.

As an IT pro, I'm proudly biased. I put software through the paces and I evaluate the pros AND the cons. Because I'm PAID to give a more educated opinion than the average joe. The truth is, more often than not, I use Mocrosoft products instead of the alternatives (and, last I checked, XP IS a Microsoft product!). But if I find something superior, I will let my end users know.

IMO the OP is biased....

You cant force folks to not express their opinions... whether they are based on what you agree to be factual....being most here are posters on a skinning site and NOT a journalism or IT blog site.. expect us to voice our opinions as we see fit. if you choose to agree with them or not.

It wasn't a JU cross-post.

MicrosoftWatch is a valid source of news.  It is important though, to become familiar with any news source so you are aware of the bias.  Every news source is biased by what a they chose to cover as well as how they cover that news.  I have "filters" I "wear" when I listen to NPR, or Fox News, or MicrosoftWatch, or ThinkSecret, or even this site.

Also, it is not required to present both sides of the issue here nor is it required to present yourself as an unbiased journalist.  A poster will look more reliable if they do but we are not an accredited news site and have no rules regarding fairness in reporting. {Do not attempt to slander, libel, or attack though . . that's a different story}

If you don't like the source of news or the opinion of a post author.  Don't read it.  Don't comment. Respond with YOUR sources and opinion.  It's all good.

Now I know that not much time has past since the OP, but why is it that when someone makes a post they never hang around to support their opinions or facts or point of view? Yes, maybe they went to bed or had to go to work or have a life, unlike some of us.

What I want to know is why Microsoft fanbois treat every criticism of Microsoft, legitimate or not, as a personal attack!

Who said that? Why does that even make sense to you?

It certainly doesn't make sense to me and possibly a few others reading your post.

I would hope so. He's my IT guy because I don't know what I am doing. If he were to listen to me then he isn't very good at his job.

I think what we see with the original post is what one could call pre-postal depression.
