DreamScape resources, are they high?

from Stardock Forums
I know the CPU usage is very low on Dreamscape/Dreamscene as it is being run with the GPU

but as a gamer id like to know if Dreamscape/Dreamscene pauses or unloads when a game is ran? or is it still running in the background as i do not want any resources taken up for gaming.

Most often the dream will pause with intensive applications. It will also do this if you go to the battery on your laptop. The draw is not harsh at all but all power counts for something.

im on a desktop pc so no battery powersaving mode
