Value Creation Failed Line " 40

"A line 40 error is usually an error for the center splash not being referenced correctly in the theme.ini for the right bmp. You usually get this error when importing a logonui.exe file with Logon Studio and the code has to be rewritten to make it work correctly. Altinhk, you can't rewrite that line. Are you trying to create a logon or do you have a problem with a logon you downloaded?

If it's one you downloaded, don't open it in the Logon Studio Editor or it can corrupt the file and give it that error.

What logon is it? I can check it out for you and let you know if it has a problem.

Dude . .you have more talent than I will ever have.  The best I can do is try to learn what I can.

I tried re-installing Logon Studios already. and here's what happens:

1) the logons that came with the software springs up a Line 365 error

2) the logon that i downloaded (Azure) keeps giving me the line 40 error

would it be because of:

1) I have a wide-screen laptop

2) I have a Chinese Windows XP (thanks to the shop and which i cant solve unless i format my laptop)

it's there anyway i could fix it, or am i cursed once and for all coz i dont have the lingua franca version of Windows....

Logon Studio does not work with some languages, and Chinese is one of them. There's no fix as far as I know.

It won't work with the .logonxp format that Logon Studio does, but a .logonui.exe format. You can find a lot of them here: WWW Link
