Bush Critics Coming From All Sides

Bush Critics Coming From All Sides

As the Bush presidency moves toward an end, more and more critics are blasting George W. Bush and his policies. They are coming from former members of his administration, from world leaders and from some of the most knowledgeable people in our country.

People like Allen Greenspan who says Bush and his fiscal policies were a disaster. Mr. Greenspan also said in his book that the Iraq War was not because of WMD, or because Saddam was an evil dictator. It is not because Saddam refused to follow U N Resolutions or to establish democracy in Iraq. It was because of OIL. Yes we killed over 3,700 young Americans and injured more then 27,000 more for Big Oil!

Then you have three former Surgeon Generals under Bush who said, his administration was all about Politics and not about science and the health of Americans. They all said his administration controlled what they could say so it was in agreement with his political ideas and not the truth about the science and health of our people.

Then this week a so called friend of GWB and the former President of Mexico said that he never met a more stubborn and controlling person then George W. Bush. Mr. Fox was referring in particular about the Bush policies on the Iraq war and immigration.

Finally was George Tenet who provided enumerable examples of the warnings Bush Ignored from the CIA that America was to be attacked by al-Qaeda PRIOR to 9/11.

These most recent examples have nothing to do with the liberals or the 2008 Presidential campaign. They have nothing to do with the Press. They are the opinions of some of the most influential people on the earth about the weakness of the 43rd President of the United States. These comments and many others that have surfaced earlier and that will develop in the years to come will form an increasing clear picture of just how bad a President George W. Bush was for our country! It will clarify a legacy of failure and enduring harm to our country and to the world.

Adding revenue is a good thing but when you cut revenue by a dollar (from the tax cuts) and only get 50 Cents back (from the growth created by the tax cut) you are in the hole. That is what is taking place.

Less than bright Gene,

The government is only allowed to spend what it can take in. The exceptions to this rule are national defense and a few other areas which is why when the government is shut down you don't have the troops sent home. Cut taxes and we make money, the more money that is spent the more taxes are collected. The more we tax the less money we collect. as you pointed out, Mr. Bush cut taxes and we are taking in more money than before the tax cut. What is keeping this from being higher is the war on terror that must be funded and the wasted money sent to pay for the stupidity of hurricane in New Orleans.

Less than bright Gene,

YOU ARE 100% WRONG! From 1981 to 1999 the federal Government spent more then it received in taxes EVERY year. In 2000 we spent just what we collected in taxes. Starting in 2001, we spent far more then we collected in taxes. In fact since 1981 we have spent $8 trillion more then we collected in tax revenue. The tax cuts cut tax revenue twice as much as the new revenue the tax cuts produce from growth in the economy. That is what Greenspan and the Comptroller general have proven.

who was in charge of the congress during this time. in the house it was the republicans. in the senate no one had control. the democrats were in the minority by 1 to 3 people. which meant that if you wanted them to play your game you had to let their pork through.

it was the democrats in the senate that held 110 give or take judges hostage unless the republicans did what they said.

for those of you who are to stupid to know what i mean. i mean the filibusters on the confirmations of judges.

The subject of this Blog is the Bush fiscal policy and the GOP was in control of Congress. That is what Greenspan was saying was irresponsible. When Bush took office the budget was balanced and he and the GOP Controlled Congress immediately cut taxes and increased spending which produced the deficits Greenspan was talking about!
