Ok, maybe this isn't philosophy, per se. It's just a little quiz. Oughta be really easy.

Here's the question. Who of the following was born on December 25th, born of a virgin, signalled by a star in the east, was killed, was dead for three days, and then was resurrected to ascend into heaven?

A. Horus
B. Jesus Christ
C. Mithra
D. All of the above
E. None of the above

Have fun.

I'll go along with SanChonino on that one.

None of the above.  He was Born (according to scholars) in August.  The Church moved it to Dec 25 to co-opt a pagan holiday when they started Christianizing Europe.

He who?

By your profile, I assumed (forgive me for that) the question was about Jesus.  However, if you have someone else in mind, I would be interested in hearing it.

Haha...I have a profile? I didn't even know. o.0 What's it say?

Um, no, not about Jesus, per se. (I'm fond of the "per se" phrase today). "All of the above" have the same story. But I agree with San Chonino. "None of the above" is it really true for. But there IS a history behind why it's such a popular story. So I'll ask a different question.

What dies on the 22nd of December and is born again on the 25th and then ascends into heaven?

Three cheers for the Sun of God. Well done, of course, Sabrina. I'm not at all surprised you knew.
