To be honest, I prefer having your posts here as there are some sites, such as blogspot, I can't access at work. That being said, this particular chapter is very good. It is always good to see friends rallying around someone in a time of trouble.

My first experience with death  was not until I was almost out of college.  At Balliol's age, I was thinking that I must be special since no one I knew had died.  That did not last after my first encounter with it.

I was older, but I understand Balliol completely.  You painted that portrait very well.

dr. guy, i remember when i was a freshman there was this one boy who's father had died, and the face that he had witnessed the death of his father at such an early age sort of set him aside from the rest of us. i was thinking a lot about him.
