Extract animations

It's possible, if you have WinRAR (first the more simple) just right click on the file select open with... and select WinRAR as application and then extract it.
OR change the extension from .cur... to .zip and extract it (for this one you have in your settings to choose to see the file extensions)

buying the product allow you to use it, for the themes modified them for personal use is not a mater but you can't modified the software and you can't share a suite of cursor tweaked from several others suite. You have to share it to make your really own.

Or get permission from the original artist.

I would suggest the Zubaz approach. Things have been touchy with situations like this. Most artists are really cool about it when you ask them though.

Yeah Seabass is right many artists are really cool about work on their works with their permissions.

It is meant for private use only, but yes, I'm well aware of copyright laws

Hmmm, probably a silly question but which programs do people use to create PNG with proper transparency? Because the "magic pink" option for bitmaps works but doesn't anti-alias of course. I have Corell Painter IX (can't save as PNG) and Arcsoft Photostudio. The last can save PNG but I see no way to indicate transparency.

try to use the Gimp or Photoshop. the others sorry i don't know really

I use Axailis IconWorkshop if I don't feel like waiting for Photoshop to load up. It still does the job, but it doesn't have many effects.

In my opinion, have a look at these programmes:

1. Photoshop
2. TheGimp (free)
3. Corel PaintShop Pro Photo 11
