It's very frustrating to not understand how to do things with a computer! 

All I wish to do is establish a free counter on my blog,  and do you suppose I can figure it out?  Heck no!  :(

So I will have to ask for help,  from JoeUsers and also my son,  if he's out there somewhere,  in puter land...

Please?  How to do it?  I went to a free site,  followed ALL the directions,  right down to the copy and paste part,  now to try to get it onto the blog, apparently,  is where I'm messing it up.  I went to "My Account" and clicked on the thingy that says "links"  and gave it a title,  added the copied and pasted stuff for a URL,  hit enter and somewhere in there is a mistake!

Probably obvious to tech people,  not I,  the old, tech challened granny...

Hmmmm.... Not sure I can help, but I sympathise. I'm not sure how you would add a counter to an online site like a blog page. I have added a counter to websites in the past, but they were my websites, and I just copied and pasted the code into the "index.html" page, and uploaded it to my site. It worked fine, but obviously you are trying to add code to a site where the index file is on a server that you can't access. Have you tried contacting the people that run the blog site? maybe they can help? I'm sure someone here will know the answer for certain, so stick around until one of the more techy people reads this.

   Well thank ya kindly BoXXi!  NOW I understand why it probably didn't work.  A big "aha" moment for me as well as appreciaton for the answer!

I will be interested to see it work. I know Greywar had one at one point.  But he seems to be MIA lately.  Hopefully he will see and read this and give you some tips.

That sure would be swell,  seems like a lot of the old crowd is MIA....some I miss whole bunches! 

I know Greywar had one at one point

oh?   Ya,  my sis has a blog over at blogspot and she gets readers from around the world,  it's so neat,  colored flags and all
