This ticks me off: Judge halts illegal immigrant notices

A pox on the lot of them I say.  What am I talking about?  The groups (like the AFL-CIO, Immigrant activists, etc.) and the Judge behind this decision:

Judge halts illegal immigrant notices

Basically, Department of Homeland Security has worked with Social Security to help remind businesses that if they get caught with illegal immigrants in their employ then there won't be the wink-wink, nod-nod, of the past and that there would be stiff fines for failing to comply with existing employment laws in this country.  Great idea, right?  Enforce our existing laws -- one of the mantras spouted by some who make excuses for illegal immigrants in the country.  So one would think.

One would be wrong though because the activists and protectors of illegal immigration still want absolutely nothing to be done to change the status quo.  Leave the law-breaking, yet supposedly law-abiding peace loving, in search of the American way, illegal immigrants alone.  They aren't hurting anyone... or so goes the mantra they spout off.

Now they have the AFL-CIO helping to do their dirty work, suing the feds to stop these notifications from going out.  I would like to have thought that the judge would have used her brain and realized that NO ONE in this country should have proper standing to represent illegal immigrants as a group, and that the needs of the government to enforce it's laws in this area would far outweigh supposed concerns about individual rights when it comes to PROVING to an employer that you have a right to work in the U.S.A.  A job in the U.S.A. is a priviledge and not a right, but of course defenders of illegal immigrants and those on the left believe differently (the left still believes in the communist model of everyone having some job that they must do for the state, but that is a different issue anyway).

I'll say it again, as if it hasn't been said enough -- if you are in this country illegally, get the H, E, double L out.  If you want to come here legally and find work then follow proper channels and do so.  Don't come here and have your children just because of the loophole that if they are born in the country they are automatically citizens.  Don't come here by sneaking across the border.  Come here as guests of the country, as people that have properly registered and followed procedures, and then stay for your allowed period of time.  Once that allowed period has expired, take all your belongings and go home.  Back to where you came from.  Let someone else have the opportunity that you took advantage of and you go to the back of line and start over again.

Meanwhile, I hope the feds take this case up to an appeals court with a brain and hope it gets squashed so quickly that the original judge doesn't have time to think up any more excuses for why she decided as she did.  I didn't even have to look for confirmation, but it is there in the original article to find quickly enough to note that this judge is based in the San Francisco area.  I'm sure that the plaintiffs in this case shopped around a bit to find jurisdiction here so that the loons of the left would be the ones to get a first crack at stopping the big evil government from tossing away our rights here.

Again, when it comes to employment in this country, the requirement to fill out an I-9 form isn't that tough, and the requirement that employers maintain records and confirm that they have done the required checks to verify that their employees are legally entitled to work in the U.S.A. isn't that tough.  Sending out reminder notices to these employers to tell them that they must comply or face stiff penalties should be encouraged, as should the actual enforcement of these laws.  Collect the penalties and use the fines to help pay for just about anything you care to fund.  By the time you are done you may be able to collect a few billion $$ that could be used to pay for something.

Of course if we did that, someone, somewhere, would complain that the enforcement was too harsh (just as they complain that -- supposedly -- our President doesn't do enough to enforce the laws) and/or that the spending was still not enough in the right areas.

A few words from the article linked in the headline:

The Social Security Administration cannot start sending out letters to employers next week containing notification of more serious penalties for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Ruling on a lawsuit by the nation's largest federation of labor unions against the U.S. government, U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting the so-called "no-match" letters from going out as planned starting Tuesday.

The AFL-CIO lawsuit, filed this week, claims that new Department of Homeland Security rules outlined in accompanying letters threaten to violate workers' rights and unfairly burden employers. Chesney said the court needs "breathing room" before making any decision on the legality of new penalties aimed at cracking down on the hiring of illegal immigrants.

She set the next hearing on the matter for Oct. 1.

The Social Security Administration has sent out "no-match" letters for more than two decades warning employers of discrepancies in the information the government has on their workers. Employers often brushed aside the letters, and the small fines that sometimes were incurred, as a cost of doing business.

But this year, those letters will be accompanied by notices from the Department of Homeland Security outlining strict new requirements for employers to resolve those discrepancies within 90 days or face fines or criminal prosecution, if they're deemed to have knowingly hired illegal immigrants.

I can't say where I wish the breathing room that this judge asked for should be found for her at.  It might be considered uncalled for.  Just suffice it to say I would hope it provided an incredibly foul air that continually induced the type of vomit that I want to expel just thinking about the stupidity of her decision here.

More enemies of the U.S. Constitution, abusing their authority push their own agendas instead of interpreting law as it is written.

You are right, they are a pox on free society.  I defy any off them to defend their actions.  But of course, they can't, and they are so pompous, they don't even think they should.

Spit on them all!!

I say 20 million of the poorest Americans migrate to Mexico and demand housing, food, medical attention and jobs, NOT learn any Spanish, demand that everything be printed in English so they can understand what is going on, flood the school system with children that also demand that all classes be taught in English so they will not be 'left behind' and never, ever try to assimilate into Mexican society or become a Mexican citizen.
