Help with Logons

I'm having some difficulty with some of my logons that I attempt to make. For some odd reason, on some of the pics that I use look just fine until I try the logon out, then these white pixel areas show up but they're not in the original pic... Can someone toss me some help on this please? Thanks in advance!

Change the contrast by -1 number and retry it again...
That for the image in question that is giving you the bad pixels.
I use Photoshop or Paintshop Pro to do this and it works everytime.

This drove me nuts for ages, especially with predominantly black walls......boss gave me this code.....

If you change line 14 in the uifile from this:

background: rcbmp(100,6,0,sysmetric(0),sysmetric(1),0,0);

to this:

background: rcbmp(100,6,#FF00FF,sysmetric(0),sysmetric(1),0,0);

will fix the problem...

"If you are creating the logon with Logon Studio, you need to change that line as the VERY LAST thing you do, because once you open it with the LS editor again, LS will change it back".

hope this helps....

(copy/pasting the code is safer that retyping.....from experience...   )

Many thanks! For a minute I wasn't exactly sure what you were talking about until I looked around in the folder and found the file you was talking about.

I mostly use paint lol. As far as changing the contrast to -1 I don't think paint has that option sadly.

*Edit*

After a few more tries with the code, it messed up again even after I made sure it was the last thing I done. I even tried doing that with the LS editor closed but it went back to the same problem again. I installed PSP7 and found the option to change the contrast to -1 and that fixed it completely. Once again thanks guys/gals for all your help. I couldn't have made my tribute to R.A. Salvatore without your help. Now I'm going to attempt to upload it and with luck it will be approved. Wish me luck everyone!
