ObjectDock Beta update now available

ObjectDock Beta update now available

Includes revamped weather feed, and x64 system tray / start menu launcher support

A new ObjectDock Plus beta is now available!

Open up Stardock Central to get the goods for the updated ObjectDock Plus, make sure to have "Show prerelease versions" checked. v1.90f I believe is the version number in SDC.

Main features of this update beyond a variety of small bug/glitch fixes include:
-Use of the new weather feed. More reliable, always up to date and now with super-robust location lookup. *Any* location that shows up with accuweather now works with ObjectDock
-x64 version of Windows now can make use of the System Tray and Launch Start Menu functionalities of ObjectDock

Don't keep us in the dark, man! What this about the fix for the skinning stuff?

Ditto.

Hah ah just a little thing. I should probably try and remember to update the skinning doc regardless. Anyways, the update to the skinning format: "TabOverlapLeft/TabOverlapRight and TabContentBufferLeft/TabContentBufferRight can now be defined per-background-position as well as of globally for a skin. Previously, they could only be defined globally, which could cause a problem if graphics were rotated say for tabs when on the right side of the screen."

So when's the DesktopX widget integration coming ?!?

I only just discovered the feature in RC and it's got to be the way to go for OD+ also surely ?!?

Hi,I have a slight problem when trying to add a shortcut to the windows defrag utility to OD.
Once the shortcut is added and I click on it the windows cmd box briefly appears then disappears, but the defrag utility does not open.Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have my tabbed dock set on always on top, but when I hover over an icon, the label shows up beneath whatever window I have open. Also, for some reason, the flyout on hover doesn't work for my weather docklet, only works when I click on it. And the fan-out is still kinda slow and jittery (could be my crappy system, who knows).

could be my crappy system

Bebi...I find it hard to belive that a tech goddess such as yourself has a crappy system...

My CPU is 4 years old. It's not the tech goddess stuff that's letting me down...it's my empty bank account.

OK....the REALLY needs to be changed to a more appropriate code. >_<

Hi Pedro

Right mouse click the weather docklet. Select weather docklet properties from the menu.

Type in Lima, Peru  in the Enter your location:

It will come up with a list for you to pick from. (I think this is only in the plus version?)

or you could try Lima, Peru(The Region you are in)

eg Lima, Peru (Loreto)

Hi tazgecko,

I have the ObjectDock 2.0 free version (the latest free version).

I tried typing Lima, Peru in to the docklet and I can not configure the weather docklet.

I tried with and without the accent over the u and still I can not configure the weather docklet.

I tried:

Lima, Peru

lima, peru

Lima, Perú

lima, perú

perú, lima

peru, lima

and the weather docklet displays the following message: feed not available… try again later

I tried with other cities and countries (for example: buenos aires, argentina or santiago, chile or berlin, germany) and i had no problems with them

please help!

Close ObjectDock.

Download this file (use IE):

http://sd.stardock.com/ken/stardockweather.ocx

Copy and paste it into here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus2      -the (x86) if on 32 bit.

When it asks if you want to overwrite it, select Yes.

Restart ObjectDock.

Try the weather again.
